Think the first thing is to go try some cars
2.5 is a good engine regarding torque, my personal opinion is I prefer the 2.0, revs higher and feels more of a drivers car to me, keep hitting the limiter in the 2.5 especially with the 6 speed and short range between gear changes
Hawk eye or classic, we all have our opinions here & bottom line it depends what you want and what you prefer to drive
Hawk eye better built, more refined, prob more reliable, maybe easier to live with on the daily commute
Classic, my opinion, more fun and more of a drivers car
Looks well, I'll leave that to you

Now that sounds fun, please keep us posted on the results

Thanks Andy, much apreciated

Great pic Mandy, as others have said, looks like young Revers has been out to play..............good man

Had some fitted to our P1 last year, our's had covered over 100k and were well worn, like the KYB's feel pretty similar to standard the way they have been set up, covered about 5k miles, no complaints
-
Looks like a classic!
Steady

Sorry to hear that mate, hope she'll be back stronger and faster soon

Nice thought Badger, I had considered this option
Actually, my parents could easily take delivery, the problem is getting it back to Germany if I fly over, and actually I have a few camping trips planned before Chatsworth, so it would be nice to have it before then
Won't be able to use it for your spring camping trips but if postage is an issue, have it delivered to parents, give it to us after Chatsworth & we'll deliver it on route to Finland

Think it's time for a new battery mate, would have thought you would be fine with a direct replacement, but sure someone else will be along if I'm wrong

just found a 04 plate sti 34k on the clock going for 7,777 was thinks this is very cheep (whats wrong with) or is it just the market at the moment
I know prices have hit the floor, but that does sound suspiciously cheap

Does look nice, pretty sure the seats have been changed for a UK spec of about 1997, may be me, but why would anyone want to do that on a 24000 mile car?

Hi mate & welcome, to answer a couple of questions,
If it's been decatted it won't pass an MOT, I would also want the ECU remapping if decatted & induction kit, this may have already been done
Hope all goes well & enjoy the car

Yes, someone posted photos up of their hawkeye STI which was blue with white 18 inch wheels on and it looked pretty good. Going off memory they were Inovit white alloys and it looked pretty impressive from the photos I saw!
T5NYW, sure he'll be along soon

They are a serviou piece of kit

Hi Paul
I think the heater control is just to divert where the air is coming from ie cold source or hot source it has no effect on the water supply to the matrix.
From what I could find out the thermostat is in the pipe between the rad and the water pump, as its job is to stop water from getting into the rad, until the water temp gets upto about 80deg C. Your rad fan should not kick in until 95 deg C.
Cheers Iain
Hi Iain,
Must confess didn't know that, but stand corrected as haven't had to look at the Scooby heater system too closly, was going on older cars
Cheers
Paul
