  1. To be honest that's the problem with the MAF, sometimes they show no signs of failure, Unless you know for a fact it's been recently changed I would replace straight away, maybe sounds OTT, but it's not worth the risk in my opinion ;):D

Good luck with your search & keep us posted :D:P

  2. Ok, I watched the new STI on the Greek Rally tonight on Dave and thought it looked pretty well.

Expected to come on here and see a massive thread about it starting with the tital put on channel XXX NOW! but there seems to not be a single thing about it!

is this really a site for Subaru enthusiasts or does everyone drive a ford focus now what with the fuel price hikes and all.

Have a look in the WRC section mate  trust me were over the moon

  3. Had our first P1 for 3 years sold it with 69k on the clock, no problems, this included a trip to Corsica, Spain & home in a 3 week period however they need looking after, can eat engines, usual causes decats or induction kits without a remap

Treat the MAF as a service item, approx £75 & easy DIY job they can develop a fault not indicating a cel light, making the engine run lean, causing det & engine failure, also avoid high speed runs, e,g, silly speeds on the autobahn  they are a sprint car, not something to run at 140 plus, we all know a P1 will go off the clock, & trust me it will, but a lot go bang at that point :D

OK that's the warning, not bad news, just common sense really :) the P1 is the best car we have owned, it tells you something that were on our second, it's got 112, 000 miles on the clock, but it's fun :rotfl::D great raw, drivers car, loads of info here http://p1woc.co.uk need to register but no charge, great site and a friendly bunch :P

Good luck with your decision & if the car is standard with full Subaru history you should be fine, they are a terrific motor, but take your time there are a lo about be careful with your choice :D

If you get the build number, it's on a plate on the N/S/F strutt top, could even be a plaque in the car, if so deffo a P1WOC car as plaque not standard and made up for the club have a look in the register on http://p1woc.co.uk may be able to get in touch with previous owner :D
