  1. Yep saw that, was thinking grey, white last night, demo was grey but only 600 miles on the clock but looked fine, dealer recons no mud flaps available, but thought I saw you post Prodrive will have them in June? Either way will sort something if the deal comes off
  2. Can't get black on a UK car , awaiting a phone call on Grey, a bit like anthracite (sp) and confirmation of a price on current motor, should know soon
  3. Hi and liking the new car, hope you are Looked everywhere last night for piccies of a white 08 STI with those wheels on
  4. Well been for a play in the 08 STI this morning, both love it Sure Al has summed the car up, but here's our thoughts. Must have driven approx 30 miles betwen us on some suberb Scooby back roads, salesman present, telling us to go faster from time to time, cos he knew the road top man, just a shame it was a bit wet and greasy Car was superb, very sure footed, seemed more planted than the WR1 and not as skitish on a bumpy back road, was a touch concerned about the turn in at first, seemed a touch light, quickly go used to it, definitly felt like it would be an easier car to live with on a day to day basis, while still great fun if you want a play One of our biggest complaints about the new age cars has been the driving position, feel to be sat on the WR1 rather than in it, now the driving position in the new car is excellent, you sit lower in the car and feel more part of it, dare I say more like the classic Seemed more leg room in the back compared to the new age cars, but boot space was a touch small, however it's a hatchback & sure that wouldn't be an issue for us Power, now the car we drove had only 600 miles on it so didn't go mad, my initial thoughts were it was a touch slower than the WR1, but think when it has a few miles on it there won't be much difference, also it is very decieving, the 2.5 feels more torquey so you don't get the big shove in the back, it just gets on with it Salesman was telling us how quiet the car was, to be honest, think that would be my only complaint, it was too quiet, needed more of a Scooby growl Leaves us a big decision to make, do we wait for the Prodrive version or just go for it.......................................
  5. Pleased your enjoying the new car, been out for a test drive today, they are superb
  6. Great write up as usual Al & enjoy your weekend Looking forward to our ride out on Sunday
  7. Bit late I know but this thread reminded me we needed a front bumper beam for the P1, & yep price has dropped to £25 + VAT, less SIDC discount arrived today, bargain Going to give it a couple of coats of smoothrite black , leave paint to cure & fit Easter weekend, along with a couple of other bits
  8. Suposed to be a Priodrive STI at the London motorshow in the summer, would be nice if it were a McRae
  9. Cheeky lol Both manage to fit in the P1's Recaro's................just
  10. Firstly welcome back to Scooby ownership Will need a remap either with decat or sportscat to be safe, the biggest concern is that the engine runs lean at high revs
  11. Maybe when they add the Recaro's etc to the UK car but we'll see
  12. Happy birthday mate, hope you had a good un
  13. Another vote for the silver & blue Prodrive knob
  14. Mate the Impreza engine is a good unit, but needs looking after, not saying you are but don't even think about fitting a non genuine oil filter
  15. Another vote for Silkolene pro-s 10w50, Make sure you fill the filter with oil, takes about 10 mins, just keep filling it, leave to settle, then top up again, I disconnect the crank sensor and give a couple of bursts on the starter till there is oil pressure, reconnect the sensor & fire it up, takes longer but dry cranking an Impreza engine is not a good idea
  16. Excellent write up, sounds the buisiness
  17. Would have said you deffo don't want to disturb the air flow to the intercooler, mind would be a good excuse for a front mount
