  1. It sounds like steam from condensation buildup in the exhaust. Cheers Iain
  2. This one is only a year old, bought from import car parts for about £250-£300 (can't remember exact) so I guess £100 would be fair. It is surplus to my requirements as I am running mafless with a simtek ecu. Cheers Iain
  3. I have one for sale (orange label) from my V3 sti. Cheers Iain
  4. You are welcome mate. If Marc's car is anything to go by then you are in for a great treat. I think Bob is very interested to see how yours goes too. Cheers Iain
  5. Well where to start, there are so many variables. less fuel is good and shedding weight will help. tyre type and compound will have an effect. Don't rush the launch, your time doesn't start until you move so ignore the green light for now. Get good and fluid at gear changes making them as fast and as smooth as possible, don't waste time rinsing your engine either your peak should really be 6000rpm no more. The rest is just practice especially the launch. Cheers Iain
  6. I think there is a flat 14.0 in there yet. Cheers Iain
  7. Out of interest what 60ft times are you getting? Cheers Iain
  8. Yes, it requires treating with a heat gun to reflow the solder and better cooling via uprated/ extra fans. Cheers Iain
  9. Just got the figures through, it ran 367bhp and 342 ft/lbs torque, for the sake of 3 bhp I would call that a 370bhp Impreza. Not bad for a Uk T2000 running a VF35 Cheers Iain
  10. Out of interest for you, I went with a mate today to get his Impreza mapped on a VF35 with pretty much the same setup as me and it made 360bhp+. Cheers Iain
  11. Ok mate just trying to save you a little time, money and effort in the long run. Cheers Iain
  12. You ported the turbo yet ? Cheers Iain
  13. There seems to be a little doubt about my cars power and performance over on SN lol . Seems that 370bhp is not possible on a VF35, well then that means that I am running 11s with less than 370bhp I wonder how many of these doubtful guys have been tweeking and tinkering with a VF35 for the past 2 years and know exactly what it is capable of . Cheers Iain
  14. Hi guys On the matter of monthly meets, if we were to have one in September how many of you would actually be interested in taking part? Cheers Iain
  15. There is alot of time to be made in the launch, I think alot of it is down to the setup of the car too, tyres (size+compound), suspension, weight, gearing, engine + turbo and how well the car slides through the air will all contribute in one way or another to better your times. I am looking at getting backed by work to race my car now so I will see if I can get some 888s before the end of the season Cheers Iain
  16. Given the weight and power of your car that is a very, very good time mate, my PB with 310bhp was 13.1 with a 1.68 60ft which is still my best 60ft, I matched it at USC with the launch control but I have yet to beat it hence I need a little more grip. Cheers Iain
  17. Any more news on this one Monki ? Cheers Iain
  18. Hi guys. Remember me lol Cheers Iain
  19. Thanks mate. The little bond bug is ace and the driver was a great guy too, I was expecting to get well spanked up against it. I thought I will get a good start but once that thing gets grip it will rocket past but it never did. My 60 ft times are getting better ranging from 1.68 to 1.74 on average. Looking at the terminal speeds of the other cars in the top 8 or so they all seem to have approx 450-600bhp so I am very happy with the setup. My best guess of power is 370 but a lot of people are saying that 370 is not poss on a VF35. If they are right then I am even happier but I do doubt a 340-350 bhp scoob would run these times. I think I have tapped into more power by increasing the wastegate size allowing for better gas flow top end, well that's one theory anyway. With a grippy set of tyres, no headwind, a few tweaks on the apexi avcr and on an empty tummy I could shave a fair bit off that time. Cheers Iain
  20. Its really down to how you are using the car, a hard driven car should use a 5 or 10w50 fully synth but if the car is driven sparingly a w0w 40 would be just fine. Cheers iain
  21. Well I would not put 2 fingers up to the competition as that is not very sporting, besides it is the competition that drives me to make mine that little bit faster. Cheers Iain
  22. Well the times are up on the USC 2010 website. I came 4th in class D with my 11.80 run (D 11). Not bad considering I am only running 370BHP on a VF 35 no less. I am very happy, very happy indeed. Cheers Iain
  23. I had to convert my new lights from electric to manual adjustment. I would be happy to take a look and see if your issue is similar to mine. Cheers Iain
