Hi, Your new 2004 still has a year warranty on it so maybe if your fussed about that you should get the PPP. It is more expensive than buying parts and a remapped ECU but doesnt effect warranty. Or, you can ask on here and get the gear you need to propel your car faster than PPP at less cost.

Welcome mate, try elephant. they dont require a tracker to insure you. It would give you piece of mind, but it also comes in the form of- They cant steal your scoob without the key

Here is the progression of a NASIOC members turbos
Gumball replied to Gumball's topic in Scottish Scoobies
that would clearly be where GEMS and antilag would be useful[] -
Looking through NASIOC forum i found a story with the photos below of a guy that modded his car and changed the turbos for larger ones and got to the point wher he had to use NOS to make up for the serious turbo lag he had on spool up due to the size of the thing. standard VF39, AVO500, 20G, fpgreen TD06, AVO600............................GARRETT GT40 !!!! crikey, thats huge *** 430wheel horse power/or about 537bhp-550bhp scotland wise at the flywheel****

Andy, I like your decals. I emailed them a month or so ago asking for a cost for these @ underground. The price was very good once we negotiated and i have just looked at the two photos i have. one of your car and one of a car down south with a price tag of 375quid. I like what they have done with the prodrive and as you have got it will find something else to put there instead, maybe even the cusco as standard. Looks smart as a carrot

Slightly O/T : Performance mods, are they worth the money ?
Gumball replied to Johnny50's topic in Scottish Scoobies
good points. alot of people think that "most expensive is best". Alot of crap!! As some people who have been bitten in the a$$ will confess and "can't have that it is second hand and been used for afew k miles" again alot of crap. You can easily source parts cheap enough to not lay out alot of dosh and get the figures you would like, just maybe mean hunting about abit more. thats a very very good point. an example is all the 2nd hand parts on my car are going strong and have never caused dramas....where as the new parts.......pop, snap, warp, break. excellent point -

Slightly O/T : Performance mods, are they worth the money ?
Gumball replied to Johnny50's topic in Scottish Scoobies
thats a striking comparison there Johnny. It shows you the price/power ratio very clearly. I had a newage wrx and fitted a backbox- £200 239bhp it got at dastek. The car once followed an STIppp into the twisties on the way back from KH and was only lost on the bends where new scooby ownership and not having the same handling base and handling mods as the sti cost me the distance. Would a decat, good handling set up and a ecutek/powerfc map be a better option that throwing money at these cars? I enjoy personally buying (when i can) mods for the car but are they all worth the money? possibly not. -
Anyone out there with road angel navigator?????????
Gumball replied to Bing's topic in Scottish Scoobies
yeah steve what did you think of the RAN? was it as good as it was supposed to be?? Cp -
Gus, The graphics/decals i had were from a company through ebay called signcreate, whom i think are based in London. The decals were the "SARRAZIN" decals rather than the normal wrc solberg style. Sarrazin is the french subaru wrc driver hence the www.subaru.fr sunstrip. You will be able to get them on ebay if you search for them. Failing that "spaced out grafix" in Stirling, the company that fitted them for me have a trace/copy of the full kit and should be able to reproduce them for you. What you could do is contact someone like "expressscoobygraphics" or "extremescoobygraphics" cant rememebr which, that are included in the true grip magazine. They have done a lot of the decal kits on the cars down south and look very very good. Including kits made with flourecent yellow rather than ebay yellow. They could take your wishlist/order and send it up to you for someone like spaced out to fit for £100. Underground graphics in Ayrshire have also been very willing to put something together around cusco decals but im sure they also have the wrc decals or could make them for you. Andy's car is an example of their good work. The decals for the wrc kit can then be taloired to be different like changing the standard door number boxes with Rally Japan, germany, france, GB etc. GB is something that would be good and hasnt been seen around these parts. PM Pete "Warby" down south and ask for some photos of his car which has flourecent wrc decals and is really good. C

lol Thankd god for 2wd. i left the s500b and took the astra stealth car out for a play. no hubcaps never mind alloys to be smashed off kerbs, no oil to worry about really and no low bumpers to smash. just 2003 vauxhall astra engineering to powerslide, flick and wrc corner all around east kilbrides industrial estates. the handbrake and the 3rd gear with the right balance saw the blue stealther sliding at 45 degrees for 100metres before.............. i got stuck and spent 15 mins laughing as i crawled about under the front wheels trying to get the snow out the way. eventually managed and then got it stuck again. summary- the scoob is good for power donuts the astra is good for long wrc stylie power slides down narrow roads.
