  1. Thanks for the help looking for the keys guys, I owe you all a few beers....
  2. 1/4 time was 11.01 @124, charge circuit wasn't working when I left the line battery was at 11volts, so not the best conditions, went back and with a bit of bodging got the alternater charging, went back to the start line to find myself on the line when qualifing ended. They let me run but I recorded no time. So it's a bit like the fish that got away................. IT WAS WAY QUICKER
  3. Studa are M12x1.25 I would doubt you'd get that commbination in 99% of Tap/Die sets
  4. Shouldn't you be advising him on where to catch a bus firstly ?
  5. Can we back track a bit here ! Are you seriously running around with two nuts holding a wheel on ? FFS, that's madness !!!!!!
  6. Red Stuffs went from New to Metal on me in 2 hours at KH. I currently have them on the 2dr, but only because the Brembo's came with them, don't like them, nasty 'oribble Pad !!
  7. Always welcome in the passenger seat John, you should have come for a 'Hurl' the other weekend
  8. Who did the work, cam timing could be out ? ---john---
  9. At least when you type I can understand you. Think I got about one word in four the other week
  10. I may have some influence here, if you guys are sure you want to be even more irritating than you already appear to be
  11. Not Shy Just Prudent, the car is used in competition, why would I reveal such a fact ? Most people that know the car know what Turbo is in there so it's not 'Rocket' science to guess a number. It's about having the right package for the application. I could put a larger turbo on and extract more power, but I'd bet money the car would be slower 'end to end' where it will see most of it's use. In the future I think each specific application will see an appropriate Turbo setup john
  12. It has Enough of Each !!
  13. Spent yesterday afternoon with the ForrestMeister. Car is now fully up to speed mapping wise with an, erm, 'enhanced' Boost profile It's obviously hard to tell during the process of mapping ( Especially with the not un-substantial extra weight in Pass seat ) but by Feck it feels rapid now Very pleased. ---john---
  14. Cheers Dale, shame I was trying to set the car up or a bit of Hooliganism on track would have been fun Car is off to AFP tomorrow to sort the mapping so watch this space
  15. No need, I've a 4wd Saloon car, I'll just drive over the top of the single seaters
  16. This weekend is a wee experiment by GAC, normally entry is limited to 70, with both days being a separate event. This weekend Sat is 3 practise, Sun One Practise and then Two Timed runs. So one event over two days allowing a bigger entry. Getting an entry is becoming a problem in the north these days, GAC are doing this to try to address the issue. To answer your question, yes, both days
  17. Entry for this weekend is 94, Gulp I think we'll be paddocked at the Park and Ride at Kingswells !!!
  18. Alford was excellent, well done JohnS and the rest of the team Really worthwhile time for me as I've had no time to address the setup of the car so I had the car at ProGrip on Wednesday to setup the geometry, fantastic job from John as usual. At Alford we spent the day playing with the Diff controller and roll bars to try to fine tune the work done at ProGrip, so JohnS's shouts of, slower and Faster were indeed useful Data The culmination of which was we started the day in 63secs and finished in on 61secs. Thats a healthy gain if I'd found 1/2 a second I'd have been happy !!! The car is still running a really safe idiot proof map ( I think the idiot might be me, by implication ), Andy is doing the business sorting that out Wednesday afternoon . We are back at Alford this weekend for a round of the Scottish so hopefully the weather will be really Sh!t and turn all that dust on the track into Muck that will favour a 4wd saloon car
  19. ^^^^ Extremely Eloquent, now put down the Glass and go to bed
  20. Thanks Rog, I've now tie up another name and face with a username I already knew !! didn't realise you were You so to speak.
  21. Cheers for the comments guys and glad we held off the Evo Hoard !! Couple of really quick cars hampered by problems, I'm sure Stormin' would have been quicker without gear selection issues, lets hope that's fixed before his MLR sSprint round next weekend. If anyone has any video footage I'd appereciate it as today was about setup on the car and watching from the outside is always a good supliment to the Bum Dyno as to whats happening. Really enjoyed today, just begining to realise that the car is an Inch wider each side than the old one, but my sense of 'spacial awareness' is still with the old car Criag, I know you've got Feck all better to do, Oh! by the way I've slapped some tile grout on that wee graze, it's all I had in the house, I'm sure its easy to Rub down Keep the pics coming, they're the first I've seen of the car that aren't Static shots !! ---john---
  22. Bummer Kenny. Spent a little time on the car today, fitted an Uber Bright LED to the top of the dash on a 1.8 bar Oil pressure switch. The theory is there is no way I couldn't see it if things are starting to go Pete Tong and whilst engine would already be gubbed, it might just be re-buildable, rather than scrap. Going to spend tomorrow getting a few miles on it and do a bit of Suspension Testing.
  23. You Bobbing about or on Dry Land ?
