  1. Never, ever had a problem with mine but that's on a classic MY99 car. Sure they supplied you with the right one for your MY ? Personally, I wouldn't accept their "fix" Stefan
  2. << Was a business looking kinda guy with his bluetooth headset >> that rules me out then. might be one of the lads here - http://rb5oc.ipbhost.com/index.php?showtopic=1050 Stefan
  3. Yep, I'll be doing it this year. I have a few hill races over the summer and some 10K road races, so I'll be aiming for a respectable time. Stefan
  4. There's should be on-street parking around there, but there's an underground car park at the old Anderson Bus Station (left at first traffic lights and left again). Stefan
  5. Cheers Craig
  6. Yep, the Larkhall track has been around for Donkey's and plenty of Scottish racing drivers have cut their teeth on it. As Craig says, it's a proper racing circuit and not one of the commercial karting tracks for fat blokes in suits Craig, how can we find out when all the races are on for the season? Stefan
  7. BTW, Jim Dicksons quoted me £112.50 for 225/40/18 Goodyear Eagles and £117.50 for Toyo's in 225/35/18. Elite were around £10-£15 per tyre cheaper, but you obviously need to add valves, balancing and fitting to that cost. Stefan P.S. I think the girl must have the price for 4 wrong as they quoted me £550 and £573 for 225/35/18 for Goodyear and Toyo respectively. That's went from <£120 per tyre to over £140 for more of them.
  8. You could try Elite Direct in Essex if you just want them shipped and fitted locally. Contact is Barry on 01708 527 220. Tell him you're from the Scooby club. They quoted me £82 for Hankook Ventus Sport 104's and £105 for Goodyear Eagle F1's both in 225/40/18.
  9. not sure what the civic's engine is like, but most cars should use a MAF and Lambda sensors (later more for idling) just like the Scoob. I get both check with a Honda dignostic tool. My Dad's Vectra was doing the same and narrowed it down to his MAF. I would start with the O2 sensor first though.
  10. The Halfrauds professional stuff is really good quality, but I still think it's far too overpriced although I do have a few of their socket sets. Now I usually go to Still Tools in Livingston as they do Draper sockets for half the price of the Halfrauds stuff. Stefan
  11. Yep, I used them when my Brother reversed into my car. Derek is brand new and will do a really good job. Stefan
  12. Only thing worth asking is whether the girl driving the Noble was good looking
  13. Replacing Rear Discs (classic)
  14. took me ages to track down a pic of Dave

  16. where's local? Scotland?
  17. LOL @ the video clip; is that fuel it's spitting out the back of it sounds nice. you'll need to post a fly-by clip and giving it some revs
  18. Can't be a real Subaru fan; they'd never put Yoko's on their car Stefan
  19. Can someone drive it to the Glasgow meet on the 28th?
  20. Are the discs grooved? You could clean up the faces with some wet 'n dry to remove any uneven pad deposits. If they are grooved, check that there isn't a large amount of build up in the grooves themselves. A quick blast with a dremel to clean them out should help with judder. I don't know of any places that can measure for run-out and skim them for you.
  21. m8 in work said a red WRX may have got done by the speed camera in Livi this morning. They're policing the dual carraigeway religiously these days Spotted a girlie in a Reddish-Blue classic up at the BP garage roundabout in Livi - R20 ??? (I think) - not even a look or a wave
  22. I'm sure the Well will give the teddies a right good humping in the final ..............................
