Chris, I would say it depends on when your going re-booking in advance!!!! I was up the west coast Kyle, Skye, Ullapool etc etc... in August last year and had a nightmare getting something last minute (ie on the night!) stayed in the Loch Duich hotel near Eilan Donan Castle and although not the newest of hotels was very welcoming and great food and drink with fantastic views if you get a loch/sea view. Did over 600 miles in two days on some of the best (emptyish) twisties in Scotland.[] Gus
