  2. As long as you have the rear diff too you are good to go Andy, shafts will fit ---john---
  3. Hi, if you are fitting an STi box then the rear diff will require to be changed, this is definate. UK cars use 3.54 rear diffs, Jap cars use various (3.9,4.11,4.44), but none of them are 3.54. Arch you are not quite right about the rear shafts, the R160 shafts/rear diffs changed in '99. So a pre 99 diff of the correct ratio will be required to use the existing shafts. If the car is a UK car we don't need the gearbox codes it will be TY752VNxAA (x being variable depending on model year) UK cars retain same gear ratios and final drive ratios across the model years. The code from the STi box is essential though to determine suitability. BTW, if the rear diff is wrong, it won't be the rear diff you will kill, it'll be the centre. So in summary, get the finger oot and tell us the box code

  6. Mark the position before you remove, make a carefull note of the order and direction of the one way valve. Can be cleaned using brake cleaner.
  7. John is inded a top Chap, his equipment is second to none !! ---john---
  8. Craig, I find they always line up perfectly for me, unless the belt hasn't been pre-tensioned in the proper direction. Symtoms are, belt and puleys lined up till you let the tensioner go, then turn the engine and it comes back round slightly out. Ends up looking like it's roughly 1/2 tooth out on N/S bank, mucked up a couple of times and had to start again. ---john---
  9. Have some here, pop up and get them.

  11. Frank, have the injectors been out at all ? More likely it's an O ring that's pinched if they have.
  12. Aye, but you now have a proper gearbox, not one with the following gears .075 1.65 2.5 3.25 4
