  1. Vectra front end, Astra coupe back end = crap. Just glad most concepts don't make it into the open market!
  2. shocking response but this probably always happens. correct me if i'm wrong.
  3. any chance on sharing how much you paid for the remap mate ?
  4. Hi Dipsy, that was actually my son Lewis (out on loan). How cool did he look. He's only 7 1/2 months but loves cars already, got him glued to the TV when the rallying, F1 and Touring Cars is on. The next McRae in the making !!! (Hopefully he can take me into an early retirement )
  5. I'll have one or two Pete and give £5 for the pleasure
  6. 3. I haven't sorted out the engine management light due to the downpipe, will nobles have any issues with this if I was to put it in like that? It may not be to do with your decat, it could be something else like the air/fuel sensor or a crankcase sensor so I would leave it as it is. I've had my 04WRX with full decat at Nobles a few times and they weren't bothered about it. CEL light was on twice, 1st time was above sensors and 2nd was the wastegate solenoid valve which they put down to the decat.
  7. I'll be there with the missus and the wee one so wont be going on track. Been before and it's good just to watch.
  8. I've got these on my MY04 WRX, same problem too but it's my n/s/f that knocks. I also have a bonus feature of the springs rattling in the bottom seats too on the fronts. I'm sure you will have this over time. Get onto Eibach or the place you got them from and get a different type as there is nothing you can do to sort it, I've tried. I believe that Tein are pretty good.
  9. Dipsy - I think I'll buy myself a pair to block her out, most of the time I only hear "blah blah blah blah....." anyway ! Iain - You'll be the first to know if I am made to remove it. Thanks for noting interest anyway.
  10. Glad you like the dump valve Andy, told you it was easy to fit. I never told the insurance company as they stiff you enough as it is !! May you have many hours of brum tsshhhh ahead of you....
  11. On second thoughts, it's not for sale at the moment. Managed to convince the wife that its not worth selling just now. Sorry to anyone that was wanting it.
  12. I'm sure it's 3" at the turbo and it's a single pipe (rather than the twin dump style) going back to 2.5"
  13. As above for sale, off MY04 Blobeye but will fit bugeye 01 on. Been on the car for 4 months and covered about 3000 miles. Cost me £200 from AWD in Perth, will sell for £100. Wife doesn't like the additional noise from the turbo whistling away so it's either sell the decat or sell the car, the former being the easiest option ! This is the first mod you should make to your scoob. The difference in performance is phenomonal, turbo spools up faster and earlier and should give you an extra 20 ponies roughly. Don't be without one !! Selling in Edinburgh area so buyer collects but will travel within reason.
  14. As above, I'm selling this item. It came off a New Age (MY04) but will fit bugeyes aswell as blobeyes. Been on the car for 3000 miles max, only 4 months old. Cost me £135, selling for £60. In perfect working order and good as new. The wife doesn't like it so it has to go I think it sounds great, not overly loud but just right. Go on, you know you want to !! In Edinburgh area so buyer collects or can arrange postage for additional cost. I will travel a little, within reason.
  15. Alright Chris, I noticed a little difference but they eventually fell out. Think I'll get onto Eibach and see what the deal is.
  16. Just had my car back from Nobles today as it was in to have the front end looked at. Had a knock and a rattle coming from both front wheel areas. Turns out that it all comes down to the Eibach springs I have fitted. Because they are shorter than standard springs (obviously) they can be easily moved from side to side when the car is jacked up (they can actually be turned in a full circle!). Also, because the front springs don't have any rubber bushings etc to secure them they are rattling against the metal spring seats. Only cure is prodrive or standard springs although Nobles have tried to place some rubber under the spring seats to see if that helps. Big up to Nobles for their service today, I know a few of you have had troubles but they are always more than courteous with me. James.
  17. They look really nice mate, good choice of colour too. Did you take your calipers off to paint them and did you use an aerosol or brush ?
  18. I'm going too but I'll be stopping at the McD's at the McBridge for a McBreakfast before I McHead up the Mcf@ckin road to AWD
  19. So nice he had to say it twice !! You need to get some pics of the head unit, door builds and under you bonnet etc...
  20. I've got one too, nice piece of kit and sounds great. Not too loud and even if you are driving really hard it's still not that in yer face. Very good price considering they are about £135 in the shops. Really easy to fit too.
  21. Not for long though surely ???
  22. Congrats on your new ride and welcome to the nut house
  23. Transcal are pretty good as they've been doing it for years (they used to be called Car Seat Covers before being bought over), takes about 1 week in total, cost is from £1,000 for a basic retrim.
  24. that's a bit of a main thoroughfair into town so most of the Livicruise brigade will come in through that road.
