  1. It will be the first time that I've actually declared all mods on a car I've owned so I'm expecting to pay a bit more for it. Peace of mind is worth a lot ore that a couple of hundred quid in my opinion. James.
  2. Privelege want £575 but I have to fit a tracker.
  3. Will try them too, cheers Craig.
  4. Cheers mate, I'll complete that form now....
  5. I've got an 04 wrx too and have similer spec tints on the back and front including a smallish sun strip. As with many things in the law it's dependent upon the police officer that pulls you, they may not bother about it or they may stiff you and slap a 21 day ticket on your motor. I've never had any bother. The guy that tinted them however did say that it was now illegal to tint the fronts regardless of the amount of light it lets through. James.
  6. Tried Gary at Keith Michaels and he qouted £850 fully comp but was wondering who everyone else uses so I can shop around. I've got an 18g turbo, sti injectors etc, car putting out around 360bhp now. Who do you use ??? James.
  7. As said before, I'm not desperate for the pipe but it might just be easier all round if you could post it out, should only cost a couple of quid and I could post you a cheque or Paypal you the money ? James.
  8. Cheers Bandit, I thought that's what the other hole was for but thought I'd better ask to be sure. Already got me an STI scoop and inner scoop so that's ok. On another note, has Peter (Fai17) spoke to you yet about oil breather hose ? He has some left from fitting his catch can and I was going to be buying off him, he had mentioned that he could pass it on to you and we could meet up and do the deal rather than posting it out etc ??? James.
  9. Cheers Stephen, that's what I thought but wanted to check. I've got both of the STI items so that's not a problem. With hindsight I should have saved my money and went for a FMIC but hey ho [:^)]
  10. As above. I was wondering if you had to change the brackets that you mount the intercooler on to. I've noticed that the WRX left hand mount (the one nearest the drivers side) has another mounting hole that is further away than the WRX intercooler mount and was assuming that this was for the STI TMIC but I'm not 100% sure on that. Anyone advise me accurately ???? James.
  11. I can see what he's trying to achieve and it may have looked half decent if the bumper corners were actually rounded rather than straight all the way down. Each to there own but I doubt he'll get many compliments. James.
  12. The 18G is capable of up to 380bhp but remember that it's not bhp that makes a fast car its torque. My car pulls like a train through all the gears and I can guarantee that you would not be dissapointed. Headers ported and wrapped were £260, Up pipe was supplied, wrapped and ported for £130 and down pipe was wrapped for £70. Not cheap but headers are gonna cost you circa £500 then you have to get them wrapped too so another £200 or so. James.
  13. Get the headers first then get the 18G turbo fitted then a remap. You wont have to get it mapped for the headers as the car will still run normally, obviously you wont get much benefit until its mapped. If you want to save yourself time and money stick with the 18G as the 20G requires modification to the engine block to allow it to fit (grinding away at it actually). This doesn't damage the car but is costly and in my opinion unecessary. I've just went down this route and can speak from experiance. I got my standard headers ported and heat wrapped, a ported and heat wrapped up pipe and heat wrapped a decatted down pipe then got an AndyF 18G. Mapped a fortnight ago and pulled 340bhp and 330ft lbs torque. Andy showed me a graph of a 20G'd car next to mine and there was no difference in torque or bhp unti about 5500rpm. Even at that Andy said it would be unlikely you would notice it in a straight line. I've got a spare set of headers in my shed of you want to go down that route. Saves you taking your ones off then having the car off the road for a few weeks. £100 and there yours. You should also consider NGK Grade 7 plugs (Scoobyworld sells them at around £40) as the greater volumes of heat will melt your existing plugs. Your fuel pump etc will all be fine. 20G is great for the track and Crail but a bit overkill for a b road bomber. James.
  14. Everything is there that you will need to fit it to your car. You will need the STI scoop and inner scoop but that's only if you intend on getting the most out of the intercooler. Your WRX scoop and inner scoop will still fit without casuing you any problems. I changed my TMIC for an aftermarket 'Big Daddy' and bought the STI scoop and inner off eBay. Scoop cost me £160 and inner was only £35. Subaru wanted around £250 for the STi scoop and never asked about the inner one. James.
  15. Anti roll bar and drop links do not require a re-jig of the geometry but if you went down the anti lift route at the front then it would. Whiteline drop links and roll bars need to be fitted with all 4 wheels on the ground so either a flat bed ramp, on your back in the driveway or under a pit would do just as good. Modding bug still eating away at you then ??? Your Prodrive pack doesn't come with a high flow cat by the way.
  16. Fair point mate and now more than ever I keep my antics to B roads. Having become a father almost 2 years ago puts things in to perspective. Used to race around the town when I was a lad but looking back it was pretty daft but we live and learn if were lucky ! James
  17. Cheers for the info. guys. James.
  18. Can anyone tell me what the diameter of the breather pipes are on my Subaru (2004 WRX) ? I'm going to be fitting an Oil Catch Can and want to buy a breather filter but don't know what size I should get. I think it's 15mm but I'm not really sure. Thanks, James.
  19. and what ever happened to freedom of speach ? Say what you want as long as......
  20. Granted, they may not like being called theiving Gypos however they are known as that for a reason. All tarred with the same brush if you ask me. Stereotypes aren't just rumour. Just my opinion. Anyway, hope you get your car back mate. Down with the pikeys []
  21. Dirty Gypo pikey bar stewards !!! [:@]
  22. Looking good mate. Let me know how you get on with the brakes James.
  23. That looks tasty, might buy one second hand for my next motor.
  24. I'll try []
  25. Very true Graeme, it's very addictive but for now the power and torque are enough. My car was a standard WRX with PPP and a decat before so I'm up almost 100bhp on that. James.
