  1. << Anyone want to meet up near Glasgow then Kincardin Bridge...anytimes you want..I'm easy >> I'll be heading up from Glasgow but normally go the Forth bridge way, much quicker IMO.

  3. << and the 20g is sold to me. >> Holy flurkin schmit. Thought I felt a shiver run down my back today.
  4. << tits on fish when you get hammered on the track or road by someone not on this list. then what happens? >> But pretty handy if you were trying to out drag a 360 spider eh?
  5. To be honest I wouldn't mind being compared to a factory or garage entry. There is nothing to stop me matching them mod for mod. What would bother me though is if they were able to run things that I couldn't like slicks or plastic bodywork as I have to drive mine to the strip. Something like TOTB rules - mot, tax and insurance to qualify.
  6. Game on.... 1. Jc Scoob 2. Iqy 3. Playsatan
  7. Anyone fancy joining the list or moving up it? Crails last thrash of the year is on the 13th Nov and it'd be good to get a few scoobs up there to make the most of the cool conditions. As it's not a mag day there shouldn't be any queuing and there's the potential for lots of runs.
  8. Are we the only peeps staying up late these days Peter? There's a few reasons to wrap and no downsides. First off is keeping underbonnet temps down. Second is that the hot air flows better which helps with spooling and scavenging. The last, and most important reason is that it helps the car pop and bang like a goodun.
  9. << Playsatan, DRB5 and Coulty not going???? ; >> Tempted Chris but working that weekend. Will see if I can sort something out.
  10. You wouldn't learn anything from me then mate, my 60 foot time on that run was 1.95 Click me
  11. Remember that was a 3 or 4 hours session John. A full day effort might need a top up run at lunchtime.
  12. Did a 12.9 my first time on the strip, and the car was bog standard at the time. Pete, you thinking of going up on the 13th? Might join you if the weather decent.
  13. Defo saw it on ebay recently. Looked

  15. So do the newages not have seatbelt pre-tensioners? Might be a bit messy in the event of an off.
  16. I'm amazed you can remember that far back Cal but you'll be sorry to hear my car no longer has the trademark roller turbo whine, it now has the 20g shriek. The vf has now taken residence under the Squirrels bonnet and the semi inducing noise can now be enjoyed by a whole new audience. Talking of noise, the Type R continues to get louder. I've just had the headers and up-pipe ported and all I can say is fank gawd KH don't have a Db limit. So whats next on your mod hit list then?
  17. Don't phone me either. Not lost my phone or anything, just don't phone me. Get that motor back in one piece and lets see if you remember what side of the road we drive on. Mind you, that never did bother you.
  18. Glad to hear all is well Cal. You'll realise that this is the thin end of the wedge and the mods will come thick and fast now. You and your wallet are in for a hell of a ride.
  19. Nice pics Pete. Glad my hose flying off gave you the chance to get a couple extra. What would have been a real picture would have been the look on my face when it happened.
  20. Cheers guys, as I said I'm well pleased with the results for what was a budget project. All that left to do now is strap it down on a dyno and finally learn how to drive it.
  21. 1. Gumball 2. The Squirrel 3. gr555 4. fastScooby and Wifey 5. G.Mac 6. Kenny.S 7. FAI17 8. G6RAY 9. Marc29 10. Playsatan
  22. Just had to post up and say a big THANK YOU to the members of Team Playsatan. As most people who know me will tell you I am an absolute liability with all things mechanical. I might be able to talk a good game but when it comes to action I have to step aside and let the pro's do their thing. JohnnyR6, Coulty and Mr 555 himself have all went above and beyond to help out a poor misguided fool bolt some shiney bits to his motor and gave up more than the odd weekend to make sure a perfectly good Type R didn't get ruined (by me). Along the way we had some highs, some lows and some MacDonalds but to say I'm pleased with the results would be hugh understatement. Even when Andy was mapping it he said "Aye, it looks ok I guess". High praise I think you'll agree. BTW, if anyone need some bolts or screws for their car I have a large bag of them left over.
  23. I'm with you Pete, far too busy and who wants to race a punto on 18's? Next thrash date is the 13th of November and if its dry I'll be going.
  24. << I will say that Mr R6 will have a fight for that pax seat, oh wait a minute he has all his teeth and does not spit all over the dash when he talks..... >> But have you heard his patter.
  25. Didn't really get into my stride tonight. Had to bug out early as I had to head off to work and that little bit of rain caused a couple of interesting second gear code brown moments. As for Tuesday, defo the fastest I've ever been. On 4 wheels anyway. Thank goodness it was all within the safe confines of a private test track.
