  1. That'd be ace but I don't think it's likely for a while matey. Don't forget you still have another spare engine over here too!
  2. Ace! Hopefully I'll be able to head down and try a few things tomorrow evening so I'll report back after that!
  3. Top man. Cheers dude! That should be the right part number though.
  4. Be nice to get over for a coupla days but everything is draining me of dollars at the moment (specially with the car now). The bosch ones are Bosch HEC 716 and as far as I know they just go straight on as the majority of all the aussie legacy lads seem to upgrade to them and I've never heard any of them mention anything about rewiring. Am no expert though!
  5. Hope all goes well in your new pad dude!
  6. Ah, sorry dude. I found out one of my mates is selling his so I asked him, about it but he says he's already got a buyer sorry dude. Can you get goodies like the bosch coil packs & walbro pump, & any idea how much those coil packs are? Never got that pump I paid for on Ebay and neither Ebay nor Paypal would refund me any money either.
  7. I'll try swapping the coipacks for the ones of the old motor, and sticking some new plugs in. They need gapping to 0.8mm don't they? Was actually planning on swapping to one of my other chips too before this happened. Good stuff re' the rangie dude. What spec is it?
  8. I'll give that a whirl as soon as I can get myself a can of carb cleaner. Think DMS sell it so I'll see if I can get some if they're open this avvy..... Cheers dude. Have you had a problem like this before or something?
  9. It had been hesitating under acceleration the last few weeks but has suddenly begun to cut out and the idle to rev up & down quite a bit sometimes just after you pull up at halt signs/lights. Also, my check engine light flashed on for a few seconds yesterday then disappeared again and I don't think has come back on since. This afternoon it cut out several times and started up instantly most times but a couple of times it sounded rough as hell, as if it was only firing on two. When it's been cutting out it's also been emitting the most incredible backfiring, that's had people running for cover! Sounds like a bad day in Basra when it's been going off, with almost machinegun like blasts at times! If anyone can help I'd be grateful as I don't really trust the car at the moment as it nearly cut out whilst I was pulling out of a busy junction earlier! BTW it has an ITG panel filter but it's been in for absolutely ages so I wouldn't have thought that was from having an aftermarket filter really. Any suggestions dudes?
  10. Lee - how come you're getting rid mate?
  11. Dudes! I've survived fairly well so far with only buying an engine and a knocklink from him! Sorry to have missed out on all the scoobyfest shenanigans dudes have been chocka with other prior engagements/commitments so a shame to miss out. Sounds like those who came thoroughly enjoyed themselves though which is a testament to the organisation and the hospitality of the locals that did go I guess. Got new front springs on the legacy now. Dropped from 250lbs to 180 but it still bounces a bit. Just not quite as much! Downside is she's hesitating a lot at the moment with heavy right foot, and the idle is currently going funny revving up & down after driving for a bit & the odd cutout (CEL even flashed on for a few seconds yesterday!!!). If it's not one thing it's another! Just a few quiet beers tonight as I've my bike theory test tomorrow a.m. Just finished the CD earlier and after dividing the 722 questions into tests of 35 questions each I've passed every time! Just hope the real one has the same questions! Sweet! PS - don't suppose anyone got any pics of the Legacy in the International?! Probably not but I missed it earlier in the year too as well as not being able to watch any of this rally.
  12. << back to Nobles this morning! another 2 hours >> Not sweet dude. Hope all is well soon. Will try to drop your book off tonight Andi, will swap it for mine. Make sure no-one follows you, and no cops! Any funny business and the book gets it!
  13. Afternoon dudes!
  14. Already did that matey. It took me less than a minute to start the engine using two small pieces of wire but the steering lock was the problem. Couldn't find a way to disegage it without extracting the ignition barrel.
  15. Dudes! Not swede. Had to steal my own car on saturday!
  16. Cheers for your email Richard & sorry for late response. Afraid it's not looking like I'm going to be able to get to any of it on account of numerous weddings, birthdays, family dos, and to add insult to injury the fact that I too am now (sort of) scoobyless! To cut a long story short I snapped my only key in the door on saturday, and so I ended up having to sabotage a few minor bits pieces and basically steal my own car!! So at the moment I can't use it because it currently can't be locked and starts up with a screwdriver!! Not ideal.
  17. Didn't get yours sorry Richard, it was bounced for some reason. Home address is cret@ninjas.co.uk Jimmy, got a 98 YZ250 that's been road registered. Need to sort out test now though!
  18. Ha ha! Sweeet! Morning dudes. Now I have a new motorbike. Ho ho ho.
  19. Yeah it was quite an unpleasant experience. If it'd been me driving I'd have followed them and then confronted them but my mum was just glad they'd gone and she was a bit shaken up.
  20. I couldn't be 100% certain as it was poor light and nearly 7 months back but I thought at the time it was a vectra, dark coloured, possibly dark green. I've got the number written down somewhere but from memory I'm fairly sure it was MAN 71U Pretty sure from the disgusting driving they were doing that it's the sort of thing they probably do quite happily to other people though. If it had been up to me I'd have banned them and made them retake a test for sure as they're a menace and a danger to other drivers!
  21. Afternoon dudes! Yay! The dickhead that tried to make my mum drive into the back of him 3 times back at new year has just got done for it at last. They denied it from the moment the police spoke to them but we were meant to be in court today giving evidence against them and last night the police rang to say they've pleaded guilty at the last minute. £100 fine and 3 points which isn't much for very nearly causing a crash, not to mention the amount of police time they've wasted but at least they might think twice about doing the same thing to someone else in future. And you never know, the sort of pillock that terrorises other drivers like this is the sort of driver that just might already have 9 points on his license..... That'd be sweet!!
  22. Sorry Richard - didn't realise you'd been doing this. Don't want to tread on your toes! I only emailed Streetfighters & PB as I knew MCN had already done something & hadn't had time to look into others.
  23. Dude - did you eat something dodgy? Jon - not parting with my tank mate. Besides, you can probably find a newer one in much better nick than what I'd want for mine seeing as I spent a load on wheels/tyres/suspension etc. Will keep my eyes open dude!
  24. << Sorry m8, missed your post Yes, go ahead and email whoever you think. The more the merrier m8 Cheers Jim >> Dude! Have got in touch with performance bike magazine & streetfighters magazine asking if they can make their readership aware of the petition website as per my email earlier. Was going to contact BSH too but can't see a contact email on their webby.
  25. Will ask around for you dude. One of my mates just picked up a spotless 3.9 vogue SE with leather interior etc for £400 so there must be a good few about.....
