  1. Don't suppose you've any instructions for a Blitz SBC boost controller that you could bring over dude? (specR or SpecS). Noticed you flogged one on scoobynet sometime ago & wondered if you still had one. I can't get decent instructions in english for mine. Bah!
  2. Was well on my way to doing that last night but then I fell asleep after several days with hardly any sleep! Sweeeet!
  3. And den?
  4. Swede!!
  5. Legacies not important eh?
  6. I should be out a fair bit in the car seeing as some toerag has left me bikeless. Just as well I love my Legacy!
  7. Swede! Have you got any sort of chip or ECU remap to go with it & chuck in more fuel? Start off with low boost settings either but enjoy dude.
  8. The name rings a bell. She's a Peel lass if it's the same one I know...
  9. << Cret Dude what boost controller are you running? Got mine in the post, can't wait to get it in and blow my eingine up swede? >> Ha ha! Swede indede!! Mine's a Blitz DSBC Spec S I think (single solenoid one). I got it ages ago on Ebay for £130 and it's a great piece of kit but I've not actually had much chance yet to meddle a lot & set it up. It'd be good to have someone more used to these devices to give a hand setting it up right as the instructions are ropey. Which are you getting dude?
  10. Morning dudes! My plans largely consist of alternating between drinking & tope hunting over the next week or so. Oh and tinkering with the car of course (might take the whole week getting to grips with the ruddy boost controller). Sweeeeet!
  11. Not quite sure who you dudes are on about - is it me you're looking for?
  12. Careful!!! (No, they were a bit too worried to let me on the show )
  13. << A big man crusing through town - no big sound without the scooby tho dude! >> Dude - That was me stood talking to him when you apparently walked past at lunchtime!
  14. Sorry dude!
  15. Me and Jon saw yours parked at the Colby Glen while out on a test run on Monday but you'd gone when we came back past and were planning on doing some revving to let you know we were outside. Yeah she seems to like it although the suspension is a bit too bouncy for most ladies' liking (and even for me!). Need some much softer springs on the coilovers, and soon!
  16. Waitrose?! Have you completely lost it mate? What the blazes are you thinking man? At the very least you need a Marksies item (although you might have backup issues with things how they are at the moment), or preferably a tried & tested Harry Ramsden.
  17. I hope that chip is a genuine McCain and not some poorly researched Safeway Saver job? I've heard that if you fit a crinkle cut chip you get better gains in the mid to high power range but at the loss of a little lower down the curve....
  18. Not unless you're planning on fixing the hole in the sump and topping the oil up first dude!!
  19. << Sure she was on about the er.... car.... >> Heh heh!! Well I thought she was..... Peanuts? Anytime sucka! And you'll be pleased to know Neil that the engine is running on Raspberry Mr Freeze coolant too!
  20. But dude, it's a sweet day!
  21. Would have still been out of action for ages if I hadn't had the help from you chaps. It was soooooooo nice this morning driving it into douglas & hearing it growling (mrs described it as a throbbing beast). Thanks.
  22. Morning all! Don't worry Richard you'll have another set of wheels before you know it I'm sure! And den, we drove a lovely sounding scoob into douglas in the small hours this morning and awoke the neighbourhood! Sweeeeet!
  23. Thanks again today for the help chaps. I really appreciate the amount of time all of you have generously given up from your weekends to help me out. SHE'S ALIVE! After a horrifying spectre of having to remove the engine again after seeing it in, finished, & running (noisily!) because of an inexplicable clutch problem, my brother has saved the day and saved us from removing the engine unnecessarily again tomorrow. All that remains really now is to get the exhaust on it, clean it, and drive it around hoping the check engine light will go away! You're a bunch of diamond geezers - cheers chaps.
  24. Yes indeedy! Round 2 this afternoon dude. Must get to bed and have a wee bit of shuteye first though!
  25. An unmentionably huge thankyou is hereby offered to Jon, Dave, Neil & Andi for the huge dollops of work they've done today in getting my engine out and the new one in. Wouldn't have happened for a long time yet if it wasn't for these most helpful subadudes so I take my hat off to them (and hide it from Neil...) for their time & effort, it's VERY much appreciated. Engine is not quite ready to run yet but all being well it will breathe life again tomorrow afternoon some point. Thanks chaps - you're diamond dudes.
