  1. Righto, have now narrowed my choices and viewing Pedals car on Saturday and then white v2 STi in the afternoon..... Having watched some old in car footage from the Mad March run in 2005 when the Millenium Falcon was flying I think I know what I am going to go for.......... Here's a clue :- Looking forward to being an owner again and letting loose on the hallowed KH asphalt ! CGS
  2. Remember you may need a remap and also other consumables e.g oil, filters etc VAT too ?
  3. Loving the 80's white ! Those rims are nice too........enjoy her matey
  4. Col - I did not realised that you started that thread until I went back and revisited it !! Thanks for the input guys - I would love to have DCCD but I think it's not top priority. I have a few dillemas this week but should be a Scooby owner again by the weekend Cheers Cal
  5. Thanks Grant ! I am doing my wifes head in at the moment and shall be jumping on the train on the weekend to collect the "chosen one"..... w.r.t option 3 - the guy wont go below £7500 having bought a new clutch and tyres but it looks like a real nice chariot
  6. I know but it was out of my budget --------- sweet car though !
  7. Hit with me the spec although I think I'll view the Pedals mobile this weekend.........350 bhp is soooooo tempting
  8. 1. Pedals car 2. Strappers car 3. this white v3 STi http://search.autotrader.co.uk/es-uk/www/c...mp;max_mileage= 4. and the grey Sti round the corner ( no link) 5. and also been speajking to this guy :- http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...E:X:RTQ:GB:1123 6. perhaps this http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...E:X:RTQ:GB:1123 bet you guys are getting fed up with my posts !! Cal
  9. I know - the spec is tempting but when I asked a few pressing questions he claimed he was not an enthusisat and had bought it like with that spec. He also mentioned he bought it after he lost his license which is perhaps an indication that it may have been subject to ragging etc. The alloys are not to my taste either..... Got 3 or 4 cars in the running at present so we'll see what happens. I am viewing some this weekend and also have a guy round the corner who may sell his unmolested STi to me
  10. Just spoke to the guy and he claimes to car was owned by an enthusiast. It was ampped by Andy Forrest http://search.autotrader.co.uk/es-uk/www/c...mp;max_mileage= Any opinions on this car would be much aoppreciated. It was brought into the country in 2006 Thanks Cal
  11. Sheer and utter dedication to the end............one questions remains :- have you washed your right mitt since you shook the hands of such legends Grant ? Sterling effort and loved how you went from VIP to Millets dome tent ! Cal
  12. Thanks Paul - when you here some of the stories about the likes of Keighley Car Centre etc it's a dan shame there aren't more genuine folk around !

  14. Interesting thread here on DCCD http://bbs.scoobynet.com/drivetrain-11/591...friend-foe.html
  15. Another question for the masses..... Would you rather have a standard STi or a standard WRX RA ?
  16. David / Arch - how do you find the RA without DCCD ?? - does it still float your boat or do you hanker for it at times................ Also, I had no idea that the WRX RA gearing was shorter than the STi RA gearing - you learn something new everyday I am looking at this http://bbs.scoobynet.com/scoobynet-general...tml#post8162895 but wonder if I'd hanker for DCCD or the STi suspension etc Incidentally I would never pay what he is asking for the car......£7k is a joke CGS
  17. Pics in here :- http://forums.sidc.co.uk/index.php?showtop...64&hl=wagon Only reason I sold it was because of the road tax hike and to get a diesel + toy...... The garage don't know it but it has a brand new whiteline ARB and solid drop links. It did has Defi's but I removed them and punted them. It does has a K&N panel filter though. Cheers Cal
  18. My old 56 plate with PPP is going for circa £12.5K in Arnold Clark Aberdeen Lang Stracht It was in great condition and if you gave them a very low offer I think they'd go for it. It has PPP and is the SL model with leather, sun-roof, heated seats etc Offer £11k and see what they say........it had 27k miles and FSH from T&C Aberdeen Nothing in particular to look out for with wagons IMO Cal
  19.
