  1. Love the mirrors but the alloys give me the severe.......
  2. Lot No 9. looks like a WRX RA ??? certainly has the non-colour codede mirrors......hard to tell anything else from the photos ! Anyone spot the Apexi PFC's in one of the cabinet cases and the 3 x set of Samco hoses ?
  3. Descriptions are pretty poor at the moment but what a great find Col !! I see all the Millers OB & Oil is sitting @ £80 already
  4. RS4 for me too - my neighbour has the saloon version and when he cranks up the engine I always sex wee ! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vOYkjK_SIEs...feature=related Nuff said !
  5. Just remember to reset your Defi's before you put your car in and then see what the boost registers when you collect that car ..........
  6. Looking braw indeed for a high miler !!! Where do you get those flaps if I may ask ?
  7. Di - looking at where the skid marks were I'd imagine you'd just exited the 40 mph section ? Those trees at least were young saplings. If they had been older more established ones then you might not be on that keyboard....Kinghorn are the BEST - that where all of T&C's Porsches go to get treated... To be honest, I always feel more of bond to a car after a few battle scars - a virgin clean car has nae character Big hugs in the Henry family tonight !
  8. My old PPP Wagon ( 56 plate 2.5L ) is in the Ford garage at the Lang Stracht - offer silly money and see if they bite !
  9. Just reverse her up son and I'll get the meter oot ! this is not great news but we'll see how they police it !!
  10. You can buy it from a garden centre for less than a tenner and sprinkle it round the affcted areas - worked a treat when they were dropping their guts underneath living room window !
  11. Nice acquisition indeed - any plans for them ? Have to admit though, putting the Sti8 scoop on a classic is no-no for me.......each to their own though
  12. Not need for all that stuff...... Ring fence your whip with this lion turd ( TRUST ME.......it works !! http://www.cat-repellant.info/html/silent-roar.htm Cal
  13. thanks..........read somewhere that ammonia did the trick too but that sounds like a very smelly ball ache ! £100 for the next track day is a bit steep but me finks I'll need to take the plunge and exorcise some demons Cal p.s Dale - can I borrow your face for the 31st ? I have a house I want to haunt !
  14. now insured for £280 with ALL mods declared ( TPFT wuith limited miles)..........way better than the £650 I was paying for the hawkeye ! especially as the Audi is £247. so basically I can tax and insure a diesel estate & a track car for less than a hawkeye with the added benefit that I can potter with the track car and it's not my daily drive anyone know how to remove tints ??? I hate them
  15. at £7.14 per 1 bhp the car was an absolute steal ..........the joy of a buyers market...... Cal p.s << turncoat mode on >>newages are fat, fugly and overweight........moan' the classics << turncoat mode off >> jesting fellas - love em' all !
  16. Thanks Col ! The squirrel approach sounds good but these current alloys need upgraded or refurbed.... Tyres are pretty shot too - this is evident from spinning all 4 wheels in 2nd, 3rd & 4th coming off a round about onto a 70 mph dualler.... I need to remove the tints too - I dont like the image and they are simply a cop magnet despite the fact they are only on the rear pax windows and rear windscreen Need to get an exhaust backbox bracket welded too - I wonder if C&C shall honour there lifetime guarantee ( got receipt too)
  17. Grant - I was actually thinking about the ones you have on the Spec G @ present ? Pretty sure John St. has the same ones ? I like the ST2's though - they are nice looking indeed - very rally slag
  18. Hey Cee Dubya - do you know what type of discs it runs too ? Think it's just running standard pads at present but they are incredible and really progressive Re : 16's - does it make a huge difference running a smaller diameter wheel ? If so, why is that ? is it down to weight essentially..... Do you also know what type of Forge BOV it was running ? I shall likely buy a replacement one soon as a precaution Thanks !
  19. Cheers folks - she'll definately be tracked but I am not a fan of quarter miles because the hard full bore launches are a transmission killer.... Weeb definately took her to Crail and achieved 13 dead accordingly to the sticky above but Pedals reckoned he was getting low 12's too but unsure if that is 100% fact or not. I am more concerned with scalping the next car in front of me at KH Off to give her a clean after driving her up to Aberdeen. After that she'll be fired into the garage for polishing and engine bay cleaning etc etc... Cheers Cal
  20. Cheers folks - this car is WAY scarier than the last two ! Putting the foot down on a bend can be a dangerous occupation when it hits full boost in the wet. God only knows what 400+ bhp is like in a classic in the wet ! I am absolutely choking to get onto KH now but shall need to be patient Tomorrow I shall give her a full scale clean & polish the nose cone Already thinking of firing on 17'' rims ( RS Grant - what make are the ones that you and John St. have ??) and me finks a titanium back box is required to harness the equal length rally rasp.......having said that I am getting some nice pops n' bangs. Hopefully get a good kip last tonight as I was like a kiddy before Christmas last night CGS
  21. Would have been good to meet up with them indeed.............at least the forecast for tomorrow looks good. Good heads up Zeo !
  22. Hot footed it down to a secret location near Greenock this morning and was met by a fine upstanding gentleman by the name of Graeme ( Pedals).......... a deeply molested MY93 WRX was sat on the pavement with the safety catch off and the trigger cocked......... Despite some appalling weather we circumnavigated the weapons chassis & bodywork to mutual satisfaction then hopped inside for some 1.4 bar action. After Lt. Pedals released the beast, the classic virgin, Cadet Shandero took over the helm and adopted the brace position before releasing the patriot within. Within a matter of metres of releasing full power the decision to purchase was made. Despite not having the burble ( equal length Gruppe S headers) the flutter from the induction/turbo/BOV was utterly intoxicating and made for a WRC-like experience...... ( if anyone can competantly explain how this noise is generated I'd love to know ? It sounds kind of like this http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=jEUWEsqoWz8) So the transaction was concluded after seeing a vast array of paperwork, history and manuals.......have to say that I secured the car for a very satisfactory price and still feel a tad guilty for the song that I scooped her for. However, I think Graeme is pleased that the car will stay within the brotherhood..Despite looking at lots of other cars I simply was drawn back to this monster specification and the bang per buck that it brings. Plans for the car are only cosmetic at this stage and I am more than happy with 350 / 350 for now. The engine is sublime and gearbox / clutch are strong. Expect to see The Patriot ™ being unleashed at Knockhill in the not too distant future. Cannot emphasise enough, how decent a fella Graeme is....it always inspires buying confidence when a person is genuine and not some dodgy character from Autotrader.. Lastly - thanks to each and every one of you for putting up with my incesant e-huckling and for providing sound opinions & great advice. Very much looking to dive back into Scottish Scoobies with two feet ( heel toein' of course) and contributing as much as I can once again... Cheers Cal p.s expect all manner of daft questions from me about Power FC's and Apexi AVCR's ! Edit to add pics >> and the first modification ( all the way from the village of Nurburg !)
  23. wear a gloves / mask though - you dont want to be breathing in those nasty fibres
