  2. CLICKY I'll be going if there's nowt else on ? Are you all camping and where do you normally meet up for transiting ? Cal
  3. Plate is "G** CAL" ---> I doubt I'll be at the Ayr meet as I'll be elsewhere The previous flaps were more suited to a classic so I punted them on and bought new ones Catch ye later dawg Cal

  6. Looking tremendous Fraser !!- my fiancee branded as sadman after our flashing fest @ Canniesburn I spent 3hrs 40 mins fitting my Scott Lowe flaps on Friday morning - absolute ball ache but now they fit nicely.Got my private regi on now too Cheers Cal

  8. Only just noticed this thread I may be selling my 02 WRX alloys as pictured below. They are in good condition with some kerbing round the lip of the wheels. See piccy below....... They have 3 brand new maxxis tyres and one new Bridgestone fitted What do you think they are worth ? My neighbours interested in buying them but I'm also tempted to keep them as winter wheels........ Cheers Cal
  9. Thanks Dave - i presume you were only running a smaller plate on the front ? I might try and cut down my plates myself and then seal the corners by warming them up gently with a heated teaspoon ( worked a treat on my fake student ID car years ago Cal
  10. Where did you guys obtain yours ? Ideally I don't want to fit them but..... I have just slapped on my private plates and the way the holes needs to be drilled to fit the car has obsured some of the text. On the back I just used stickies from Halfords to combat the problem. On the front it's just annoying having to use the threads. Placeing the holes elsewhere simply means that the plate is off centre and if dtill the holes higher up the plat will flap around all over the shop. I also want them cut down in size lenths ways to stop the protrusions flapping around. Any ideas ? has anyones used www.fancyplates.com before or is their someone more local in bonny Ecosse ? Thanks Cal p.s while we're at it my old boy has this for sale - offers ? Note placement of dubious black dot ! TUR80 was in the papers the other day for £75, 000 !!!

  12. Lets just say that I shouldn't have bought em but they give me mucho The fiancee wasn't impressed For those of you who don't know what they look like :-
  13. Bought a set of these ex-WR1 wheels and oh my god are those tyres sticky The tramlining though is horrendous compared with the standard widths - going along a road where a lot of HGV's hacve made ruts in the road is like a rollercoaster. As John pointed out they are somewhat noiser and ping up a lot more debris due to their soft compound. They make the car so much more surefooted ( though i've yet to experience them in the wet ) Quick question if I may ? 1) what pressures would you run normally with these babies ? 2) and at what Psi would you run @ KH ? Can wait to use these at the SIDC day Thanks for any info Cal

I would have thought it was an ideal opportuntity to chat to some enthusiasts in a friendly manner ? I reckon they dived in for the leftover chips
