  1. C'mon baby, Who's the Daddy? come over here n talk to papa, SCHWINGGGGG
  2. You cannot "not have a beam pattern" if the headlight is producing light, but you can have a incorrect beam pattern. Is the bulb in it's hole correctly and not in the wrong position ie if it is the old H4 bulbs, the bulb has 3 spade connectors, then 1 should be at the top and 2 at the sides.
  3. I could be interested, but what'll it cost me??? (and don't even think on asking For Sarrazin's race suit!)
  4. Always declare the mods over the phone, even if the person at the other end of the line doesn't understand them, at least when it comes to the good ol' "you never declared that" lark, you can tell them "yes I did!!"
  5. Glad to hear it all went superbly as I've just convinced my mate to get a full Revolution exhaust and he's now booked in to see Mr F to get a Tek3 done on 14th Sept. Nice to hear he is as good as the folklore and myths make him out to be.
  6. I'm hoping so, if not that there seems to be a lot of people who work for Thorntons, well they must since they drive like fudge packers.
  7. SEND THEM BACK NOW!!!, I can still see daylight betwen the discs and the rims.
  8. It does state that this is the magazine's drawing of the car, what it's actually like on the dealers floors may well be different.
  9. Does anyone have Prodrive geometry settings for a classic? Craig

  11. I know of a garage in Glasgow that go very "by the book" for MOT's (ie very lenient if you read the book correctly), it's called Mercedes Benz of Glasgow. Ask for one specific MOT Tester by the name of Craig
  12. Bill Greer at Greersport in Beith, top man - highly recommended.
  13. I think the Subaru number you are looking for is 22794AA010. This is the number of the one I got for my mates MY2000 turbo 3 months ago.
  14. My mate had some bad luck last week and No3 big end bearing went on his MY2000 classic turbo. The damage isn't bad, but just enough to require engine work. Rather than splashing the cash for this, he has opted to go and buy a nearly new engine out of a 54 plate WRX. All of the change is straight forward ( a few cam and crank sensors etc). But now to the question posed by this thread. The new engine seems to have a small (Pre?) catalyst for an up-pipe before the turbo, which I am currently going to change for the existing up-pipe. We are talking about uprating the car and de-catting it, will putting this small catalyst back in help the emissions much and does it affect turbo spool up speed? Also, I'm looking for advice on what exhaust system to fit, obviously it has to increase performance, but am not looking for something that would make a WRC Impreza S11 sound quiet. The sound of my wife's WRX PPP is very appealing. I have heard good things about H&S systems. All thoughts and advice will be gratefully appreciated. Craig
  15. It's all sorted now folks. I was down at S & S in Ayr today, put the phone on the roof of the car whilst I put the bairn in her childseat and forgot to pick it off the roof again (the phone, not the bairn). I drove off and it has never been seen since. My mate reckons the brakes are straight from a Scania truck - Superb.
  16. If you have to swap everything over, make sure the aircon and alternator brackets go on first, then the inlet manifold and all it's piping, then the turbos after that. I put the turbos on first and made it a lot harder for myself.
  17. Why are you pulling the engine up the way? Split the ball joints, track rod ends, get the driveshafts and prop off, and you can drop it down on the subframe. The biggest pisser is when you take the intercooler off to get to the clutch gubbins and starter, when you go to fit everything in again, you need to disconnennect the 2 elbows in to the intercooler to mount it again. I recently put an engine in my 99 GT-B, so if you need any advice, drop me a PM with your phone number, and I'll keep you right. Craig
  18. Dave, just reading the spec on your car - nice colour, nice spec.

  24. Si, Jamie is correct in that you don't need to take the engine out (the procedure he described is spot-on), but if you have more to do, like a timing belt, plugs etc, dropping the engine AND BOX isn't a bad idea. If you had access to a 2 post ramp, dropping an engine and box out can take around 75 - 90 mins depending on whats seized. I had a AP paddle in a Legacy I had years ago and would not recommend it, however, I put a Helix clutch in a modded Celica GT4 that I had, and it was superb. Craig
