  1. bloomin eck Colin, never thought I would hear you say that Will need to pop round when I get home in a couple of weeks
  2. I dont think there are any spot welds but I could be wrong, but recon it is just a bolt off and bolt back on. You could give peter at presteige car bodied a phone for some asvice or post up on scabbynet as there is a but more traffic there. Just try unbolt the one you want to replace, if it comes off jobs a good un.
  3. Barry do you REALLY need to ask that question ? Of course I will I would have had it on Knockhill on Sat if I could have had it mapped in time
  4. Steve at SW motorsport is thinking about selling the Intercooler and rad / oil cooler combos but the 5 test items have already been sold out. The kit does allow you to keep your air con but I had already deleted mine before buying it. The kit did need some modifying for my application The dry sump kit is from Zen and consists of what is in the picture below I had to change the 45 degree fitting seen in the top hose for a straight one for a better flow to the pipework as I am using unequal length headers as opposed to equal length ones as the oil pipe was wanting to run very close to the headers. I think the pressure bit is swings and roundabouts as the standard oil pump pumps a relatively small amount of oil as a higher pressure but the Zen kit pumps a greater volume of oil but at a lower pressure. The pump can however deliver very high pressure as I found out with the MK1 pressure relief valve as it gave me over 10 bar and blew the seal out the oil filter !! I now have the MK2 relief valve fitted and the oil pressure is far more stable and everything is peachy I bought one of the early kits and have had it sitting about for about 2 years hence not having the revised pressure relief valve. Zen were excellent from start to finish and when it was discovered I had the old pressure relief valve the replacement was sent out for next day (Saturday) Might be up at knockhill on sat so you can have a look see there if you wish Graeme
  5. Basically it gives a steady oil pressure right through the rev range, when the oil is hot at about 80 degrees I am seeing just over 3 bar at idle and just over 4 bar right up to the red line. i know 4 bar sounds low but it is a high volume oil pump. Also the dry sump system removes the oil starvation issues during hard cornering that some cars get and stops the oil getting blown out the breathers on high G corners. I basically went for it as a bit of an insurance policy on my investment in the engine. The oil cooler is the bottom 6 ish rows of the radiator will have a look later for correct number of rows
  6. Its a billet GT30, I have a GT35/42 sitting in the cupboard that I may get a billet wheel for and store for a rainy day
  7. As some of you will know I have had a few problems over the last few years with the car but at long last she is home for good this time!!!! Painted up in Urban Grey (still to get the roof scoop installed) Engine bay looking slightly different from standard Dry sump oil tank, its a tight squeeze and took 9.5 Liters to fill it and the oil cooler! gearing for Zen dry sump Gauges and stuff Swirl pot set up under the back bumper so no nasty fuel smells in the car, Carbon canister still to be deleted And front wheel sitting a wee bit further forward in the arch, its running 8 degrees of castor Forgot to get some underside shots when it was up on the ramp Only thing left to be done is get another map to turn up the boost as its only running 1.4 bar at the moment and install my aquamist system Graeme

  11. Unless you are aiming on over 400bhp there is no point going front mount, you would be better off upgrading to the sti topmount Graeme

  18. Well there seems to be a bit of light at the end of the tunnel now. Took a trundle over to Dunfermlin to see how Graeme was getting on with the Scoob and able to say the ECU, Zeitronics and the Phormula knock analyser are all talking to each other and the dash is being put back together again. This just leaves the AVCR to be re-wired for the external wastegate and another couple of tidy up jobs and the fitting and setting up of my coilovers etc then its off for mapping to about 1.85 Bar which should do me for a while and keep the engine nice and safe! Once Mapped its back over to Peters at Prestige Car bodies to get the roof scoop fitted and the last of the very minor snagging jobs completed Canny Wait!!!!! :boldblue: Graeme
