  9. He is in the States unfortunately, I take what she said with a pinch of salt anyway as she was the one posting up the BS about him being in a near fatal car crash and posting up some pictures of a crashed RHD BMW back in August ontop of clearing out the family home whilst he was abroad, I was still in communication with him till the 13th of August. I recon this is just another smoke screen Graeme
  10. Not good news I am afraid I found his wife and sent her a msg Graeme McFarlane 09 February at 13:09 Good day, I am hoping you can help I am sure that you are the correct person I have been looking for, your Maiden name was ......... and have two kids by the names of ...... and ...... (asked a former employee of your husbands to confirm that this ID was you) I have been trying to track down Mike Sturbberg who also went by the name of Ron Williams of a company called Raw Performance in Il. I contracted him to build an engine for me and supply some other parts, I received the engine but never received the Cosworth dry sump oiling system that I paid $3000 for. I phoned Cosworth in the States and they confirmed that this order was never paid for. I am looking for Mike to contact me so we can talk about what went wrong and hopefully get my money back, even in installements, as this has put the brakes on me getting my car back on the road. I would ask that Mike give me a call on (my mobile number) for a chat. I do not want to argue, I just want to have an adult conversation to see where things went wrong. Best reguards Graeme Mcfarlane And got this reply Colleen 09 February at 23:02 Report You have the right person, but unfortunately I can not help you. We seperated in November and have not spoken since Christmas. The last time we spoke, he was making plans to return to the Ukraine. Are you aware that he petitioned and was granted bankrupcty for both business and personal matters in August? If you made payment before August of 2010, it would have been dissolved within the bankrupcty. You should try his personal email, which is boogerwrx@yahoo.com Unfortunately I did not know he filed for bankrupcty therefor could not put a claim in Graeme
  11. White Spec C and get yourself a set of rear lights from the 05 STI Graeme
  12. Option 1 (I wonder where one of them 400+ bhp turbos might be sitting along with full exhaust, up pipe and 800cc injectors ) Graeme
  13. Just leave it switched off for a few days in a nice warm place, if that does not work house insurance? Graeme
  14. no they wont fit under his 17's or thats the size of disc I would have gone for Go on Dave, just stick them on the way they are, you know you want too Anyways I'm off to have a look at my engine mounts as it has finaly dried up a bit. graeme
  15. Some news from a couple of days ago- The engine is IN the hole but unfortunately there is a but the engine seems to be sitting approx half an inch too far back in the engine bay as the brace coming from the bulkhead down onto the gearbox won't fit and the engine mounts are sitting flush on the crossmember so it's not as if the engine is tilted arrrgghhhh. Just need to wait for it to stop raining long enough to let me roll about on the ground to get the mounts back off and check them Graeme
  16. Yea, just got it, (not checked it for a couple of days ) Thanks for the info, gives me a much better idea of what is going on with fitting the kit I will need to get a couple of photos of the kit as it is truly a work of art and made from quality parts I am getting some spare flywheel bolts from Craig McD today so hopefully will see the engine slotting in either tonight or tomorrow All the best Graeme
  17. well got a bit of progress today. Unfortunately the oil tank for the dry sump wont fit with the top mount intercooler so it will have to wait till the car is run in and ready to be mapped when the new radiator and front mount will be fitted. Engine is all ready to go in once I source some new bolts for the flywheel as these were over tightened and were a complete barsteward to get off and unfortunately the bolts are now not re-usable. AP's are also on but there was lots of swearing in this department too, on the passenger side the bolt holding the caliper was cross threaded and sheared off and also the bolts into the suspension have been horsed right up without any grease so again were a nightmare to get off, ended up with me bouncing on a breaker bar to get it loose and as many of you will know I weigh 17.5 stone!!!! So thats all work stopped till Monday till I can get some new bolts for the flywheel apart from me pumping the full tank of year and a quarter petrol out the tank tomorrow Graeme
  18. Oh the joys of people using impact guns, so far I have managed to get 2 of the bolts holding the flywheel on but one of my extension bars is Dead, so who will sell high tensile bolts for a flywheel on a sat?
  19. I have seen it before elsewhere, makes me laugh every time!
  20. So sorry to hear this, I think I only met Spot2 once and from what I remember he was a hell of a nice guy. I am sure all our thoughts are going out to his family right now Graeme
  21. Kit arrived this morning before I got home from the ship, after a little bit of head scratching I think I have figured out where all the hoses go, got the windage tray installed and also the pump installed to the sump pan. All I need to do appart from fit the kit is to phone Paul to find out in what way my water pump needs modifying and to get a male to male fitting (ooh err, easy tiger!! ) to join the supply hose to the standard position oil pump housing. So the plan of attack for tomorrow is to give my brother a hand swapping out the turbo in his car as the bearing has gone and re-fit everything. Tidy up his garage so I can work on my engine during the hours of darkness in a decent light and a bit of warmth! Hope to be updating the thread a bit more often over the coming days and weeks Graeme
  22. Had another wee chat with Paul today, he didn't realise how frustrated I was, everything seems to be ok as we have come to an agreement. All going well all parts should be with me by Wednesday. Looking forward to getting the parts fitted will get an update and pictures posted once I get the bits Graeme
