  1. Cheers for that Martin, I did notice the management (If you can call them that) have now blatantly copied the STR logos and changed them to "Love the ring" which could be construed and a bit riskay....lol A mate of mine who is a graphic designer has contacted one of his contacts down south so we will see what she comes back with Graeme
  2. Alright folks A guy on facebook has released a PNG image of this and was wondering where to get some stickers printed, was thinking either black or white printed on a clear background for our upcoming Ring trip this September .
  3. off tbe top of my head DCCD Helical diff rather than the suretrack diff on the older cars Wider track Thicker driveshafts Stronger hubs wider wheels with 114 pcd some uprated oily bits such as crank yaw sensors linked into dccd updated interior quicker steering rack better suspension (that still knocks) And a few other things I cant remember Graeme
  4. bugger, my brother was going to come in and see you guys about some aftermarket wheels for his RS4 Graeme
  5. John, I am going to be using the Haltech Platinum Sport 2000 Graeme
  6. Should have the engine back in about 4.5 weeks all going to plan, certanly wasnt expecting that when I popped into Steves on Thursday!!
  7. Well I have had a lucky escape (appart from him stealing $3000 from me for the Cosworth dry sump kit he never ordered. Anyway I picked up a set of dual AVCS heads and asked Ron if he could spec the cams up for them and after assurances that it would work with my current wiring harness (only having to run an extra couple of wires for the 2nd avcs which I was prepared to do) I instructed him to go ahead. Anyways long story short it does not fit and Subaru want £2000 + tax for a harness that will fit so decide to haul the engine back out and stick a set of 2L high lift cams in and try sell my kellford cams. Since I got the engine back it has always been VERY tight to turn over. Ron / Mike put this down to a high spot on one of the bearings and told me it would be fine and it would free itself up. Well today I went through to pay the guy now looking after my engine for my new cams when he called me into his engine building room. It turns out all the work that Ron / Mike did on my crank was so substandard that the crank is scrap. All the bearing surfaces have been ground to different degrees, there is a 1.5 thou difference between the first 3 main bearings. and there is 8 thou of movement on the center bearing where he tried to convert the rear thrust crank to center thrust by welding up the new crank then grinding it down, welding was poor (can see a fair bit of slag inclusion) and grinding was poor and main bearing surface was scored heavily enough to catch your nail in. Oh and the block came with under skirt oil squirters, He was instructed to leave these in but he decided in his wisdom to remove and blank these off too!!! AND he couldnt even put the head studs in straight, they all go in at different angles! I am so glad the engine is in the hands of Steve Whitson and that I never tried to start it!!! I would love to meet this coward face to face. Wonder if he has moved away from his new place just outside LA yet? Graeme And yes Ron or Mike I stand by what I said before you ARE a lier and a thief!
  8. Sell it and buy an ej22 cdb use your crank and have s 2.35
  9. I think I have just had sex wee in my pants
  10. toooo early for me, I'm just going to ma bed the now see you all up there at some point the morra, will be in the Disastra Graeme
  11. Will be able to fit a set of 2 liter cams in the 2.5 heads according to the nice man at Cosworth in the States Now how wahoo will I go?
  12. heads dont need to come off, just the rocker covers (hopefully that easy!) on the dual AVCS heads most of the sensors are at the back of the head too far away for the standard plugs to reach. Also the dual AVCS only has one inlet AVCS pulley and 2 AVCS exhaust pulleys
  13. Slight change of plan!!! Dual AVCS will hopefuly be ditched so long as I can utalise my old AVCS and exhaust pulleys with the cams I have. Also going to fit the Zen dry sump system, big turbo and hopefuly big injectors. Spoke to Playsatan a while back reguarding the fuel setup so will need to look further into this So its back into the shed to see if I can find my old parts then engine out over the weekend to reverse engineer the heads Graeme
  14. Arch Scott has moved on, he got all loved up
  15. Another vote for Wully at Meercat, he has worked on My Scoob for a few different jobs, My ZX10R My Van My brothers RIB Repaired a couple of cracks that were in one of the wheels on my brothers RS4 and soon will be doing the downpipes on his RS4 to get rid of the 4 cats!!! (2 in each downpipe ) there was only once I had a niggle with something that was done there and he stopped everything he was doing to put it right free of charge. As far as I am aware all his stuff comes with a lifetime guarentee Graeme
  16. extra strong elasticated waterproof pants to keep in what will inevitably come out Graeme
  17. Billy, I know you are now starting to distance yourself from the whole Subau thing after all the disappointments from the last couple of cars. I am sure you will have a hoot with the mini though!!! Get yer butt along to one of the track days and give a couple of the scoobies a good fright Again, all the best Billy, you have my number. Dont be a stranger and give us a shout for a pint sometime All the best Graeme
  18. Right at topic suggests I would like to start taking some decent shots. The main use for the camera will be for rally and track days along with family holidays and general mucking about, I know nothing about cameras but am willing to learn. The camera must also be good for "action shots" as intend on being able to use it from a fast moving RIB also. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I am lost with all the "oh I am the greatest camera on earth, buy me blurbs" and would like advice from people who actually use their camera in anger. I already know from watching others that the one type of camera I do want to stear away from is the type that uses AA batteries Graeme
