  4. I'm dragging this thread back from the past to see if anyone can suggest where I can get front brake pads this week to fit over 4 pots on the RA? looking for either Mintex or Ferodo...... getting worried now as I'm on track for my 1st time on the 26th and need the pads fitted and bedded in before then. most places we've tried are out of stock and have them on back order [:'(]

  10. managed to make it up to KH for a wee bit. Havent seen it so busy for a while. the stand looked great and the cars were eyecatching. Well done Spooks and Paul for organising this. Great job. weather was pants, far too cold, grey and wet. Glad that Sammy the chamois and Tammy T-cut brought their trusty wee gas stove and kettle, had a cuppa and that warmed me up [] Also, thanks to Rosie for the burgers, they filled me up quite nicely before work [Y] the banter was good and it was nice catching up with folk. funniest bit must have been when Squirrel was taking the free Specsaver hearing test. The test had just started and while he was listening for the beep in his left ear, a fighter jet and tornado chose to fly by.... the noise was immense and he jumped out his skin [ap] [:'(] great pics there... tho the "chocolate raison" one is a bit raunchy for a family forum

  16. will any of this kit be available this weekend at KH? it will be nice if we could pull it off and get a Tea & Coffee thing going at our stand at the Scottish Motor Fair. on second thoughts it may be a problem if there are catering/burger vans there [:|]
  17. aye, impressed with the research, sat nav programming and stuff not sure whether practicing the ring on GT4 counts as research tho! [^o)]

  19. looks lovely guspants. i cannae believe the fun you are having modding the 555 [] any pics of the interior and cage?
  20. sorry to hear that you are stepping down Jon, well done for your efforts so far and hopefully you can find a suitable replacement ok []
  21. that 3rd clip sent shivers down my spine [] agree that perhaps shock tactics may influence people to drive slower but I think we need more than that - driving lessons should include driving in the dark and on motorways (incl lane management), mandatory attendance at driver-training schools once you've passed your test and perhaps even some way of teaching our learner drivers how to properly control the car if it starts spinning/fishtailing. there's no use running these adverts if there is no infrastructure in place to educate our drivers. 100% agree with ScoUK. We are turning into a culture of 'big brother is watching you' with the computerised DVLA/insurance/tax systems, speed cameras and with more and more cars being controlled by onboard computers, I predict we will soon be a nation where sat nav / cruise control will be the normal way of driving soon.... with very little driving skill needed [8-)]
  22. no probs guys - you're free to speak your mind. the smoother ride and the nimbler feel of the car with the advans more than makes up for the looks i may have lost selling the multispoke 17s [] thinking about getting some mud flaps and the calipers painted in a couple of months, that should smarten the appearance a wee bit
