  4. aye, filled up yesterday and its 104.9p in south side Gla too. the shock of the price was neutralised with a wee old man/petrol attendant filling up the RA for me (apparantly a free service) and told me to go and join the queue Was busy making sure he lifted the correct nozzle from the right pump to let the price affect me at the time lol oh and Dale, I laughed at your wee joke hon
  5. good stuff. might be worth changing the title of your thread

  10. We will be delivering presents to Yorkhill Sick Kids Hospital in Glasgow on SUNDAY 16 DECEMBER. Meeting point is the big Asda at Bishopbriggs (big roundabout off the M80, junction 2) at 11am, for 11:45 departure. We need to be at Yorkhill for 1pm. Rescheduled for 1230 to avoid clashing into the bikers. There will be a prize (kindly provided by STi Pretender) for the best decorated car, judging will take place before we set off from Asda. I have made up donation forms to harrass/pass round friends, family, work colleagues to raise as much money as we can. Email or PM me and I'll send you an electronic version. I can post a hard copy to you if you want/not too good at printing stuff out/dont have printing facilities. If you are intending to buy some presents, have a look at the attached file for details. It would be useful for those who have managed to get donations to PM me with the amount they've got, I'm keeping track of the funds we've got so far. STi Pretender has got stickers, £5 for a set and also blue santa hats, £5 each. Lets get the money coming in and present buying started The hospital stressed that we DO NOT buy toys caught up in the product recalls earlier this year (lead in paint, loose parts etc) and that any toys we get must have the BS kitemark or CE mark, to show that it is safe for children. any questions, no matter how daft, just holler Add your name to the list at the end of this thread if you are attending, it helps sort out parking arrangements at the hospital and lets us know how many people will be coming along. cheers
  11. OMG! hope the guys is ok. and that these bampots get caught.
  12. Paul, what time does this start? and would it be worthwhile starting a new thread in Events?
  13. lol. thats brill. great idea for a finish line. love the cat... "ok Bubbles, stop eating mechanics's heads"
  14. haha, just what I was thinking Jodie frank - gotta be a jdm classic, RA or 555
  15. saw Andy F today to get the new ESL map software for the RA. wasnt after any extra horses but the car is now running at a comfortable, optimum level and pulls a lot better mid range. the car was torquey enough for me anyways but I can feel a lot more power just before shifting gears at 6000 rpm, as if she can keep going no bother. no mega increase in bhp, think i've gone up from the 280 standard to just under 300. got a wee treat after the mapping session, andy took grant and i out in his RA Spec-C... and wow! giggles galore with the boost that he's running, both low and high boost. Amazing!
  16. great shots Dale. we've got some excellent photographers among us
  17. arggh indeed need to get yourself some large gerry cans to make the trip for V Power worthwhile
  18. some of the cars look lower and slimmer... i think the designers are accommodating for the shorter female driver where head room isnt a factor
  19. andy you lucky git. Can't believe you managed to get into the Tokyo motorshow. i still like the STi hatchback, the front end looks much better with a bonnet scoop. not too sure about the rear bumper - a bit Ford Focus for me.
  20. the poll ends tomorrow. If you have a view about where our funds should go for this year's Santa Cruise, vote in the thread pinned at the top of the forum. Peter has set the date for his charity night (Fri 7th Dec) and the next Glasgow meet is a week on Thursday.
  21. Hey Grant, I managed to get one for the RA from Hypertech in Bonnybridge no problem. They have them on the shelf, are open on Sat to drop by (which suited me cos i didnt want anything going in/getting lost in the post) and they know their stuff (eg that there are different types of pumps for UK and imports). I even got a SIDC discount Their tel no is : 01324 812 212
