  1. Hi I couldnt find anything regarding stage times but there are some downloadable maps showing when the roads will be closed at the Jim Clark website here Educated guess is that the cars will run through these stages an hour or so after the roads close. SIDC have a club stand in Duns on Friday evening and all day Saturday, you'll get a chance to look through some of our owner's cars. I would recommend getting to Duns during your visit, there are Show & Trade areas and motorsport demonstrations. There's also a special stage running through the village this year, its the 1st time the rally organisers have done this. imy
  2. liking this thread I dont think any car purchase in the history of Scottish Scoobies has ever had this much discussion
  3. nice one. i could tell from the cheshire cat grin on Sunday at KH that you are pleased with the purchase. so is Mags going to get to drive any of your scoobs or are both of them yours?!
  4. plus he's competing in the Scooby Sprint championship, next round is this Sunday at Elvington.
  5. a Demo Car from AF Nobles.. interesting well done John, the stand is shaping up quite nicely it will look cracking with all the SIDC livery
  6. i usually get 2 responses when i tell folk I drive an Impreza a/ thats a chav car, what you doing driving that. these people dont know about the rallying heritage and history of the marque and quickly shut up when i tell them about its success in the WRC b/ isnt that a farmers car, ie a tractor, what you doing driving one of those? these people know about the brand and are just taking the peee peee just realised that i get a 3rd response c/ disbelief! whats a little girl like you driving a turbo'd high performance sports car
  7. good stuff Dave the last file in page 2 in that link has a nice summary about what the rally is all about, for people that haven't been to the Jim Clark before, have a look at the first 5 pages of the "Sponsorship and Advertising Opportunities" download
  8. thanks for the post. good luck to those that are competing in this. This round clashes with the Jim Clark Rally, which is also on this weekend.
  9. haha thanks Phil yeah i'm still active in the club and am planning to rattle buckets up at the Alford day in July for this year's Santa Cruises Gogsie, good to hear you're back in a scoob and if you wish to make a donation send me a goat and i'll give you my PayPal details. I will make sure anything you give me goes into the "Scottish Scoobies Santa Cruise" pot imy
  10. ehm dont listen to him, the maps at the bottom of p1 of this thread show that Ayton isnt run on Saturday
  11. aye, thought you were. just wanted to make sure
  12. did you buy your scoob off a wee guy called Jon in Dundee? cos "Green Goblin" is what he called his car...
  13. aye well done Tam for winning Show and Shine had to lol when you were wiping the dust off the car AFTER you won the award... in a panicky "omg they're coming to take pictures of the car" way

  15. aye great day at KH today nice weather makes such a difference and so pleased that KH's own climate disagreed with the "heavy rain" weather forecasts was great looking at the variety of cars both on and off track and even better when you realise that you know the person thats standing next to you looking at the same car as you are! happened to me a couple times the Gobstopper is such a beautiful car and was well impressed with its own in-built hydraulic jack-in-a-pole thing well done to those that competed today, hope things go [even] better for you at the next round and a special mention to andyjdmsti for blagging his GT-R onto the Total Car stand
  16. argh no! stick with your original shopping list of P1, Type R or RA
  17. saw this in the flesh at skye and its lovely those wheels are fab. is it different to drive from your silver one?
  18. Strike you bringing your missus? cos its a tarmac rally access to spectator areas is fairly civilised... no need to trek through a forest to get good views
  19. its looking like Friday night is popular, I've updated the list for the SIDC stand. been to the Jim Clark for the last 4 years or so, is a cracking tarmac rally and you'll get to see a variety of cars, as it is a round in 6 different championships. this year's format is slightly different, theres tons of info on the JCR website and Duns is a great location for the stand. Strike, cant easily find a postcode but search Google maps for "Duns Berwickshire" and you'll see it. Its going to be a great weekend (plus its a bank holiday on the Monday) so if you're free then come along, the sight of the rally cars and the sound of antilag will make the hairs on your neck stand up Updated Lists Friday Night 6 -10pm Cruz104 Midnight 21 Kaylz555 Lumsden 26 scooby222 GJLATZ FrankC Gordyq Gordon ? Connor Scotland ? burgy_51? Saturday 12 - 7pm ish! Cruz104 Kaylz555 Gordon Connor Scotland ? scooby222?
  20. a cuddly scooby doo toy?
  21. i hope your car doesnt say scottishscoobies.NET on it
  22. Kaylz, i think you'll struggle to find a b&b that weekend, i tried to book something a couple years back and everywhere was fully booked, there were no vacancies. Most places have their regular customers that come every year for the rally and cant take new bookings. i think that John should put yous up for the night
  23. aye brilliant pics there Al loved looking through your gallery, you got some stunning scenic shots too
  24. do you have an alternative way of contacting him? mobile number perhaps? and does he have your number? i know Johnny through this club and he's a reliable fella. dont have a number for him though could be something simple, like it was posted when he said and its gone awol in transit, or he's no internet access and he's been trying get hold of you. have some patience and keep trying. imy
