  1. Car is coming up to it's 60k service which includes spark plugs. The car has no power mods as yet but maybe in the not too distant future this will change. Is it worth upgrading to the likes of NGK or just keeping with what subaru use? Any advice welcome.
  2. +1 For Halfords. I use Halfords Screen wash which is pretty good removing those very nasty bugs and also never froze over the winter (used neet). Does not leave you high as a kite in neet form after spraying the window either. 5L not bad value but is a toxic green colour.
  3. Hello and welcome along to the SIDC community, good bunch on here. You'll be asked for pics so try get some up sooner rather than later
  4. Thought about going up to Inverness on the Fri morning from Fife rather than over to Crief 1st and doubling back on myself depending on the route. Still unsure though as Would be more fun to go in a mini convoy so might head over to Crief. Was going to see what everyone else had planned for any possible meeting points en route.
  5. Just got back from 2 weeks in America and this was on the tv out there. Shame there's not more shows like this over here.
  6. I'll be heading up on the Friday morning if anyone fancies going near the Fife leisure park just off the M90 motorway so I can tag on?
  7. Hello and welcome. As above, welcome along and thats a nice motor you have there.
  8. Good to see what everyone has planned for there Scoobs. Hopefully we'll all get the lists we have ticked off. Remember the pics as and when the changes are made. This includes your man cave paul555sti
  9. Been looking at bits for the car for the months ahead and thought I'd chuck a post up to see what all your plans are if any for the months ahead, big or small. Has anyone just had anything done? Anyone going back to standard parts? more re maps? New wheels for the summer perhaps? So far my plans are - New panel air filter, HKS dump valve, cat pipe, re map. All subject to change (funds)
  10. Went to download the free app for this but noticed in the small print some phones ie mine! are not able to go higher than a certain db due to the poor quality in built microphone. Had been looking forward to giving it a try too
  11. I was disgusted with there attitude and servce. I too am based in Scotland and had been looking for an impreza sti for some time. I noticed they always had a few in so I got on the phone to them. Car seemed to tick the boxes and the price was reasonable. I was guaranteed over the phone the car was in show room condition & there was not a better example out there & I would not be dissapointed. They knew i was travelling a long distance to them with my car I planned to part ex. When I turned up after a long drive I looked about and was totally ignored. Think they thought I was some dreamer who just wanted to have a drive in one. I sore the car and had a good look round it. Alloys were marked badly, side wall tyre had small damaged chunk on it. Scrathces inside the cabbin and the seal missing along the side skirt at the back door!! Show room condition???? My Ar#e! When pointed out the faults response was terrible. Was told just to take it to Subaru and they would fix the seal. Tyre passed MOT (that they carried out) so they would not change it. Scratches were down to age. Not willing to fix any of it & no movement on price with the faults. They would not let me test drive the car until a price was agreed, WTF! Maybe it was an off day for them but I personally would never go near them and would stay well clear. In short, helpful on the phone but terrible one to one. After being told my expectations were unrealistic & I would never get a car in beter condition i left in my own car. Months later Found a great example at a Subaru dealer in Swindon. Excellent customer service and details and pics of every minor on the car, could not be more helpful and could not fault them. Rant over, haha.
  12. Welcome to the club. Nice and shiny car you have there
  13. Hello and welcome to the club. I'm not able to answer this for you but I'm sure someone will be able to help you. Theres lots of people on here who are in the know with these things. Pics are always welcome too if you have any to post up.
  14. Both looking good, very clean
  15. Not guilty. I wave cos I see the car then look at the driver. Not everybody responds to this though both male & female. Some people just dont seem to either get it or just dont want to know. If I ever see you about I'll be sure to give you a cheery wave
  16. Some interesting information indeed. Theres certainly alot to think about and take into account. Had looked into some of it before and the D3200 seemed to tick most of the boxes especially for the price. Bit more homework needed then will decide.
  17. Not sure if this is in the right place to post this but I've been looking at the Nikon D3200 Camera as i would like a new one. What do you think of it? Notice you say your pics are off your I phone. Do you have any of the car taken from the Nikon, if so any chance you could post one please?
  18. Thanks for the link. Does sound rather deep Am I right in thinking that If I replace just the cat pipe I need to get the car remapped or is that only if you de-cat or sports cat the down pipe?
  19. Beefoss I'm up in Scotland so not local. Good of you to offer though, thanks. See from another post your away off on tour, stay safe out there.
  20. Bet he's popular in his street. Does sound good though
  21. Thanks for the info Beefoss & spect. Will be keeping my ears open Beefoss did you take the Down pipe cat out or the cat pipe between the down pipe and the centre section?
  22. Hi. I had my battery tested a week or so before Christmas and the readings came back that it was good. Car has been used once or twice a week cos of the crappy grit & salt on the roads. Car started beeping over a week ago every time i started then would not start at all at the weekend. Battery tested and read as fail, replace. Just lack of use on my behalf & too many short journeys. Battery replaced on Sunday and CTECK maintanence charger ordered last week. I should say though the battery was coming up to 6 years old.
  23. Have the Blitz nur spec (cat back) exhaust on my Hawkeye impreza and was wondering if it was possible to get the car sounding a bit deeper? Would putting a de cat pipe or induction kit/high flow panel filter make a difference or just make it even louder rather than deeper?
