Quick update. Ended up going for the Goodyear Eagle F1 tyres. Only had them on a few days now but so far so good. Roads slightly damp and the car just gripped no problem. The potenza's would have been sliding all over. So far so good

Hope I still have mine when it's 20 years old. Whats the transformation your planning??

Thanks Barry. There's only a couple of quid difference in price between them on Blackcircles, about 95 a corner. Will be nice just to have some grip in the wet compared to the Potenza's

This might be one of those stupid questions but hey ho. I need new tyres and have already asked some of you at the meets so was going to go with the Goodyear Eagle F1 asymmetric 2. One is Y (91) speed rated and one is W (91) Also there appears to be the option of Asymmetric without the number 2 after. Am I right in thinking I need the W ones? Which ones are the better ones please? Any help or info welcome

I went out for a drink with some friends on Friday night. Shat my pants when I did not get much change back from 20 notes for 3 drinks!! Times are hard but when you think your SIDC membership is the price of a round. I have personally got my membership fee back several times over with what I've saved in SIDC club member discounts.
