Russs replied to Russs's topic in Scottish Scoobies
Sorry, not sure who exactly is running from here. There are quite a few cars heading up from Central area, me included. I will be leaving Stirling at 7am though........ We will be more than happy for people to be around all day. Should be plenty of good chat and nice machines to look at. Can't give you an exact running time, sorry, but if you explain you have a timescale we will help out as best we can. We expect the day to run from 10am till 4pm. -

Ay present, any cars welcome. We were hoping for some particularly good examples too though, to keep up the good name of the marque............... That hugely discounted rate applies to club days Marc. However, you will find that we will treat regulars well -

<< OOOOOOH! Russs.....................shameless free advertising there I think!!!!!!!!!!! Who is it you work for again? Russell >> Like you don't do it !!!! And, until today, I could have answered that question honestly

Thank you for all the nice comments. Very glad that everyone enjoyed it. Sorry it was a bit of a conveyor belt at times - we felt we had to push on a little to fit all of the cars in. Thanks for posting that P&J link Marc, shame they quoted the rollers capabilities in that manner, makes it sound odd "300bhp per wheel" True figure is 800bhp per set of rollers, so 1600bhp in theory Nice to meet you all, very friendly bunch, and some lovely cars Cheers Russ

<< Russs, is this the same C20LET Russ whose manual i 'stole' some scans from? Callum is adamant he isn't running his Evo on Sunday so probs best to scrub him from the list for the time being. Just away to call Andrew to double check his situation. >> What?! Me?! Allow the only UK copy of an extremely useful engine manual into the public domain?!!!! Hi Carl Get your Evo mate to come along anyway. I'm sure when he sees all the other cars run his mind will be changed. He certainly won't have a complaint about the cooling fans
-
Cheers Marc. Goodies?! Intrigued.............. Hope you all enjoy the karting on Saturday too, I'm jealous
-
<< going "in" with mudflaps is OK, coming "out" will be the problem as they can get snagged under the tyre. >> Marc demonstrated this very well the other day. His tape worked a treat. We will try to have some at hand in case his runs out.

Sorry, should have introduced myself properly the 1st time I am the rolling road operator as of 1st October, but will be around on Sunday just for you guys Gav, Neil and I will be there all day, so if you have any questions please feel free to approach any of us and introduce yourself. We will be nice, I promise One request - can you all please make sure your cars are warmed and ready to go when your allocated time slot comes up? We have alot of cars to fit in and if we have to warm them up on the rollers it will take up too much time. Marc had a good point about mud flaps, some of you guys like your flaps big As for splitters etc, clearance is unlikely to be an issue - with this this type of dyno bed the wheels sit more "on" the rollers than "in" them. We will be careful anyway. I'm sure it will be a good day, I'm certainly looking forward to it Cheers Russ

<< but Gavin will be on his own; apart from me helping where I can. >> Gavin will not be on his own Nice to see you have a tidy running order sorted out Was getting a little worried about shifting the rollers and fans around for every car
