  2. LOL I'm sure you could've built a complete scoob with the parts you've had by now! If you end up giving away the skyline because you need the room at your new house can i put my name down now Calipers arrived yesterday WOOHOO! I am home now, so should get them swapped out tomorrow and i'll give you a bell to organise getting yours back. Thanks! Ian
  3. << In reaching his verdict, Mr Morgan noted that two police officers who gave evidence for the prosecution, including West Mercia Police's senior driving instructor, had declined to classify the defendant's driving as dangerous. >> Of course they are going to say that. Got to look after their own haven't they. << The officer, who is also trained in the use of firearms, >> So if he took a gun out and used it at night when the streets were quiet would that be ok too? I love this country's justice system
  4. Hello and welcome! Yip buy a wagon Plenty pram etc room in the back and all the joy of impreza driving. Plus everyone know wagons are faster than saloons Ian
  5. I've got a Jasma backbox and decat centre. 5" tail pipe, so not stealth looks, but not too noisy (slightly quieter than the scoobysport that replaced it) A few dinks and scrapes. Not expecting much for it... Ian
  6. Or this could happen!
  7. 11 days...plenty time to run away LOL Congrats. It doesn't hurt too much Have you got your cake yet....
  8. I'd be interested in prices too. I've been using gold class polish and the results are superb. Not much elbow grease required either...just the way i like it
  9. Grant, Very nice. I should take delivery of my fog covers this week. So i'll let you know how it goes getting them done in GRP with an intake duct. Looks like it'll do just the job for you Ian
  10. Kitchen sink cleaner, can't remember it's name. I have some in the garage i'll look it out. It even leaves a protective coating
  11. << Not really a job for the side of the road. Agree with Ian and get it booked into somewhere and pay the extra pennies. After the suspension is changed it will need the geometry set up Grant >> And pro-grip is round the corner from Hypertech..
  12. Nyle, I don't know where you're based but i'd recommend either Hypertech in Bonnybridge or AWD in Perth. I've not used AWD to do any work on my car but loads on here have and highly recommend them (I've bought parts and found them to be superb).Duncan at Hypertech is an ex-toyota mechanic as well as being very reasonably priced and reliable. I've had work done by Duncan and can't recommend him highly enough. HTH, Ian
  13. Did anyone go to this? Judging by a car park for a hotel/restaurant in central Scotland there was a good turn out of smarties

    Rant!

Cheers Guys. Grant, I know it's not the bloke delivering it's fault. It's the company as a whole that needs shot. I usually try to avoid parcel farce. Even to the point of asking folks i'm buying from not to use them. Usually you have to pay a couple of quid extra for delivery. But if you're paying for a service. It should be that service you get. Now if they said it's 2-3 days as standard (Which IMO they should do) then fair enough. But they are taking money under false pretences, again IMO) Rant over, i'm about to phone Dave to borrow his calipers so i can take my nice shiney wagon (Had nowt better to do than clean it for 2 days!) out for a blast over the weekend. (and get to work on Monday!) Yeeeeeehaaaaaaaa!!!
  15. I am not buying a lottery ticket this week...... Been sorting out the brakes on the wagon this week. The front 4-pot calipers were seized, so i sent them off to Godspeed for a refurb. The rears were still solid discs, so i got a secondhand set of calipers from HDC Subaru. New discs and pads all round from AWD. HDC sent the calipers to me next day (Yesterday) and are superb condition. A bit of a clean and paint and ready to fit. -Thanks June at HDC Unfortunately i'd ordered the wrong rear pads from AWD who did a fantastic job and got the right ones to me next day (today) - Thanks Grant and Paddy Godspeed did a 2 day turnaround on the caliper refurb (Thanks Ian) and sent them out via parcel force for delivery yesterday. No sign of the calipers. yesterday, no sign today either. checked the tracking and it says they are still in Swansea depot. Phoned parcel farce to check what the score was. Only to be told that they aren't in Swansea but in Coventry, and i won't get them until next week. Because they have 19000 parcels stuck in Coventry and thats just my tough luck (not their exact words but might as well have been!). Everytime i get something delivered via parcel farce something happens. I've had them lose 2 DVD players i'd ordered. The 3rd one took an age to turn up too and i was told the driver kept trying to deliver it but no-one was in. Which was b*ll*cks as my wife was in and they never left a card. Next day delivery always takes at least 2 days with them. Normally with the excuse that they couldn't deliver because no-one was in. Sorry for the long post, but i had to get it off my chest!!!!
  16. << Progrip in Bonnybridge squared mine up recently, though I'm not telling the settings. Very professional and VERY reasonable. Now who wants to take my car on round a track ? >> Depends which car you're talking about? and would it run out of petrol before completing a lap
  17. Rear calipers for vented discs on a classic? It never rains but it pours...bought my nice new discs thinking the rears had been upgraded too only to find that they're still the early calipers. So going to bite the bullet and get it sorted properly. Ian
  18. Thanks Dave your a gent. I touch goats
  19. Here you go Type R Scotland forum
  20. Cheers Ozzy. These are pretty rusty, so i'd rather get the blasted and coated so they stay looking good for a few years to come. Besides with brakes i'd rather know they'd been done professionally by someone that knows what they are doing!
  21. Help! Just changing all my discs and pads and one of my calipers is stiff as **** It looks like it's been sticking. So i need to get it/them re-furbed. Does anyone know if anyone locally can do an exchange on 4 pots? If not i've been quoted £150 the pair from Godspeed but thats sending my calipers down. Meaning the car will be off the road for best part of a week. However I need the car early next week (isn't it always the way!) SO...does anyone have a set of 4 pots they can lend me if i can't get an exchange pair locally?? Thanks in advance, Ian
  22. I believe Pro-grip in Bonnybridge do a good job and are reasonably priced. Not been myself yet. Ian
  23. Thought that would be the reason Cal....either that or you had Miss Daisy in the back Have you got a lanyard? I've never had the bottle to do it with mine in case a) it fell off and a chuckie hits the lens!
