  1. Nice looking car. I'm up there this week in the wagon. Give me a wave if you pass!
  2. That pic doesn't work Scott but i'll take your word for it Now show me Colin Mcraes first Subaru
  3. Now show me a pink impreza edited to say - It might be advisable to read the "How to post pictures thread" within the General section.
  4. Found this idea on a yank forum. Google scavenger hunt. Post a pic that matches a "Show me a....." Then you ask a "Show me a...." The question must be scooby related. I'll start it off with a simple one Show me a scooby air borne!
  5. On the subject of oil. Found an interesting quote on SELOC. Has anyone done anything similar in the scoobs? << Oil - Hat eating time...... OK, I am the first to admit, I am always somewhat sceptical when reading claims of product X vs. Y etc etc. I have probably developed an over-enthusiastic nose for snake oil over the years after so many bull**** claims of XY&Z, so you can imagine my thoughts when Simon from Opie oils sent me some stuff comparing engine power outputs between different oils etc?. He seemed very specific about all this, and, having to do some dyno work anyway, I though ?what have I got to loose?? so I?ll give it a go?. So, engine filled with 15W50 Silkolene Pro-R Info, made 256.4Bhp Oil was then dropped, and re-filled with 5W40 Silkolene Pro-S Info, made 262.7Bhp So, I guess it?s hat eating time for me! Next test I want to try is with gear oils, and if we get similar results, then that?s approaching 5% power hike (at the wheels) for an oil change? Thanks go to Simon from Opie for his patience with the eternal sceptic (me!), and for putting in the leg work on this and other lubrication issues I have been struggling with. Notes: Engine was fully up to temp, water at 86C and oil at 110C for both tests, each test was benchmarked over 3 runs each, after the engine was loaded for several minutes to bring the oil temp up. BHP numbers refer to power at the flanges on a dynapack chassis dyno, engine was a K20A2. Please note these figures do not relate to anything else as they were done during tests on other parts/mappings etc. >>
  6. Not mine either...but it's for sale if you fancy it
  7. I'd get onto eibach if i was you. They should be able to sort you out.
  8. << bump - no other takers ? A contribution of £5.55 would be cool >> I'll double it if you wear those clogs!
  9. << I have read lots on SN about this after hearty searching but thought I'd ask in here too ? What do I need to spend to improve the chassis set-up on a moderate budget ? Eibachs or prodrive springs ? Should I bother with drop links and if so just the rears ? Thanks in advance Cal >> Get some driving lessons The eibachs and links are supposed to be the best handling mod for any age of Scooby (Within a reasonable budget that is!!)
  10. << Cycled past it. >> Man you must be quick on your bike
  11. What have you done to my car Scott It had a new clutch when they put the box in! I have a lateral g clutch in the wagon and it is superb to drive(Allegedly handles 300+bhp). I also went for the lightened OEM flywheel route (Only lost a couple of kg's), the change in pickup is excellent. I haven't noticed the gran turismo drop off of power on hills (maybe i'm not trying hard enough!)
  12. No worries Jools. It was all on my way home, and then to a night out. Sounds like you've been having fun playing with EVO's. Some cracking roads around your way. I imagine if you got to know them you could scare a few cars in a Fiesta never mind yours!!
  13. POWER! 2.5 manifolds and upipe get my vote. I have my standard manifold if you want that to dremel so you minimise off-road time.
  14. Gents, PM me your contact details and i'll give you a bell when i'm on the road down. Do you think having Scooby parts in the boot of an A3 TDi will make it go faster? Ian
  15. Neil, Collumbine in Falkirk have limos. Never used them, but i see them parked down at their farm at the back of my house. Ian
  16. Grant I touch goats Thanks Andy, if i can't get them sorted with Grant i'll give you a shout. Ian
  17. I'd second Duncan at Hypertech. He can also arrange for the alignment to be done at Pro-Grip. So drop your car off, go work off shore and come back to a completely sorted car. AWD have a good rep too (only ever bought parts from them, and they were very helpful). Dunno if they can do a full geometry job (or have somewhere that can do it) Ian
  18. Come on guys. I've now reduced the price to a stupidly low 4k!
  19. I have a Jasma backbox with 5" tail pipe and decat centre in the garage if you're interested? Ian
  20. I'll second Stephen on the quality and compatibilty of the PSP. Although i'm not that impressed with Ridge Racers. Stephen I touch goats
  21. Show off When is this on? I might pop up for a nosey (Can i be your groupy Dave )
  22. Thanks again for a great day out. Although i am still crippled Thanks also to whoever stood in for me as i had to leave early. Glad to see they were keeping up my excellent standard of driving
