  1. total agreement with gee wr1 on the iternational bit. i joined coz it was ' impreza ' drivers club had it been internatonal at the start i would have probaly been on a different club. they say that it because that not everyone on here drives an impreza..... errr i think you will find that 99.7 % on here do and the majority of the posts are impreza related .me personnaly think that the biggest down turn is down to work patterns, ie not being able to meet up or go to events as much. and a bit like school friends in the fact that as we get older and life changes we dont speak to them as much but they are still there if need be. plus the economic state of play for these vehicals , fuel and running costs means that there are not as many people driving them. i was a late bloomer to the impreza scene as only thru a death compensation from my sister did i find myself able to afford one and being older now being able to insure it. but love it and i love the forum . i am guilty of not posting so much. novelety has worn off sort of thing i think. but i still go on. i love the banter and i have made some great new friends thru meets and club runs. what with family and work commitments ( more hours to pay for mods and runs ) some times has the oppisite affect as i end up working on meets and runs some times. tho always make sure ive got a long weekend in april booked off normally the week after the highland fling.. we like the forums for what they are but the younger lot are more face book, whats app, and all the bollocks that go with it and they find it easier to arrange things that way. there also not so technically minded for using forum o help with scooby related problems they just put it too a garage. where as i have learnt so much from the forum and fellow drivers.
  2. sounds like a plan lol

  5. she had too gordon as people would have thought she had been ralling off road and had divots stuck on her under chassis.......................
  6. if you were willing to travel a wee bit there is a man down the road from me rebuilt my front storm bumper and sorted a few other bits out and he is brilliant. and not that dear . he used to have his own body shop but retired and now doeas fiberglass caravans and mobile homes but does some car work as a homer now

  8. heres something different. would do the wife for next fling but dont think i would have enough time to finish her in time......... :Wales-flag:
  9. ahh i did not know that. was told at wallace that mine was running lean above 5k rpm so to put a 255 in to increase flow. i thought it maybe upped pressure too. maybe not. tho i can see what you mean now lewis. the difference being with the 255 will keep it an even flow all the time and the fpr keeps the pressure equall right thru the range
  10. is that on the standard pump euan. and wht would the walbro 255 be/
  11. cheers lewis. think she sits at that when ign is on but not running then it went up to about 45 ish once it was running. but then it also depends on how accurite the gauge is too lol
  12. cheers paul. work in progress like always. never ends lol
  13. a wee pic of the new addition and even with the bonnet shut you can nstill see it thru the scoop
  14. having just fitted a fpr i was ewondering when i was looking at the tickover pressure sitting at 48 psi ' mmm looks ok ' then i thought , hang on i dont even know what the standard pressure shoulkd be anyway. so its got the standard fuel pump on it , so what should the fpr be reading?
  15. i did think about that as there are a lot of little side roads i could have turned off on and by the time they would have turned and came out i would have disapeared by then. ho hum now tho
  16. coming home the other nite and after the car in front , doing 55mph most of the way, decided to overtake a van on a long straight i followed behind and when he went to pull back in i thought i would pass him tooo..... he the sped up . . this was my first mistake. i decided to carry on and pass him anyway in stead of pulling in behind he. ' my vans faster than your poxy pug' there was mistake no 2. having got back in front and on my own side getting near the end of the straight and from behind a hedge 2 traffic police step out!!!!! glanced down at speedo , 71mph. mmmmm i thought, these boys have some balls steeping onto the road at these speeds. could not dive on the brakes as there was another car behind me by now so gave them a wave and shrugged my shoulders appologeticaly. 60mph for the next 5 miles and when i looked into the mirror there was the big audi, blus and twos screaming up passing everything. as soon as i saw them i pulled in got out and loked at my feet whilst appologizing saying yes i was going a bit fast but it was a dry day and straight road , no juctions or entrances. fair dos to the police they were fine and gave me a nice pink ticket trophy for my excellent driving...... turns out my vans not limited and was clocked at 84mph. mmmmmm this is going to hurt i thought. turns out as i was nice to them there were nice back and all i got was 4 points and a £60 fine. which is ok all things considered. had thought of taking the scooby as it was a nice day to work so just as well i didnt as that, i think, would have been a 3 figure speed on that long straight so might have been cheerio licence. evry cloud and all that.......
