real chuffed for my eldest matthew on passing his driving test the day. real proud of the lad left school straight into a apreticship with marley roofing and now into his second year. and he managed to pay for all his lessons and his test himself so real proud of the lad. then of course there was the question ' right dad thats me passed, when you putting me on the scooby insurance? ' mmmmmm tho i trust him to drive it i just might try to get a quote to laugh at for the fun of it. i bought him a 950 cc saxo scandal for his first car and its a r reg and first quote for that with everything in his name was 1480 a years , something like 148 quid a moth after the deposit. poor lad only earn 170 a week. might have to sell the wifes body to help him with that.
thats what i have been told lewis so not sure what im doing with them yet bryan. think i have a soft kyb on the back so thought about putting them on but dont want the ride to be that hard that it cracks the kit. will give you a shout bryan once i get the bits off and home. take it you be nipping round at some point lol
no worries now. bought the motor. went half with a breaker up here. i will get the tein coilovers, apexi ecu, dumpvalve, cd multichanger, 3 pod piller clocks and some interior trim. he will get the rest
aye its all good. only thing left now noise wise is to sort the real tinny burble it has since putting on the stainless 4 branch . am thinking of putting the cast one back on as miss the deep flat burble. or someone sugested heat wrapping the front 4 branch and that will dull the noise back to the burble again
that like the front of mine al. it was re done and sprayed last year but there is chips on it already. fkn winter roads and gritters flying past in the oppiste direction lol
if i swapped euans date then that would put a classic, a bug and a hawk on the stand. shows the crowd the range then sunday.......... ah we dont have enough to do it that way. it. im not fussed i will go any day sat or sunday
thanks to bryan d he gave me a baileys dump valve which i duly put on. but as it was done the same time i did the gearbox i thought the sluggishness was the new gearing. and whilst i was not sure the baileys was shutting right as it sounded like it did not always shut as quick as it should i thought it was how the baileys were. well now i got one of these
well what a difference it has made to the take off and pulling of the ra. a hell of a lot smoother and it pulls like a train now. so have came to the conclusion that the baileys must not be stong enough to hold the boost im running or had a boost bled from it as the difference is mental. one happy happy bunny
jobs a good un and one rally style switch fitted to the dash, complete with light to remind me its left on and also wired to go dead once turbo timer has counted out. tho would like a relay like a heated rear window demister that once ignition is off then when you turn it back on the switch is still dead untill you switch it on again.
funny thing is with it is that like the other day i started it no bother drove round to my pals and stopped then drove home but when i went back out there was nopower getting to the pump. when i put the cocstant live on , pump was buzzing and car started. then after a wee while power was back into the loom live. but now there is no power again so have to run with the live on then once stopped unplug it. think i will put a rally style pump switch on the dash i think now.
last year had a pump failure that turned out to be a dodgy earth wire. sorted by earthing to the boot floor. now seems to have a erratic live supply. as would not start the other week but as i have a constant live to the boot for the subs i wired that to the pump and it started. got hhome then when i re wired the loon live it was working again. then to day i drove up to my pals and back home fine then half anhour later when i went to start it then the pump wasnt humming again! wtf put sub live back on and pump goes.not sure if its a relay problem and if so where is the relay? or a brken wire some where. any ideas peeps?
im lucky as had our kids whem i was younger so i can be a hooligan now although with the buying of the scoob i was asked ' having a midlife crisis?' no off. i can afford to run one now .
