  1. blimey, so much choice!! Brembo?
  2. I would imagine you have a contrct with them already - so i am not sure that they can remove that contract fo a change of vehicle.
  3. Sounds good Mike, get some pics up!
  4. Still waiting for my quote from Keith Michaels, cannot wait much longer, time is running out.
  5. There is a place that does wheels on the Newnham Industrial Estate in the corner along from AP. They were charging £25 each last year. I have a mate in Truro does them too. Not too sure about waxoyl though. There must be places do it around here.
  6. AJ offered me a VF48 from a MY08 STI but I thought that a step too far for me, lol.
  7. will have to see how i come out of the divorce settlement!
  8. The only reason I was asking is because mine is around 260 bhp at the mo and around 270lb ft from what I can make out, so maybe, just maybe we were pretty evenly matched. His would have the better handling though, that is for sure. On normal roads there would not be too much in it but he would def have the edge on me slightly on eveything. Hmmm wonder if I could afford one? Always fancied them from the day they came out.
  9. So what kind of performance do you have then Matt? Power, torque, 0-60, 30-50?
  10. April 11th and the Spect T gets done!! Cannot wait. Guess the new clutch requirement gets closer.
  11. Aha I thought so. What power do they have? I do have a modified wrx 2.5 so not quite standard. We never really got into top gear on the road. I saw him coming so slowed to allow him to catch up and he went past me at a "little over" the 60, so I twitched on the right pedal, he did too but there was no sudden big gap so I did wonder.
  12. Quite frankly we all know what the speed limits are and if we get caught breaking them then it is our own fault - it is a law the same as burglary, assault etc etc. However, as far as i am concerned 30 and 40 are sacresanct as they are in place to protect other road users and pedestrians. derestricted speed limits are fair game though. If I ever get pulled for speeding then it will be a fair cop. I did have one pull by a cop. I was close to home in a road full of speed bumps. I drove round them and he was around half a mile behind me. Within a few minutes he was blues on behind me and pulled me. He tried to say I was speeding because he had to do 44 mph to catch me. So being a bit of a mathematics guy I pointed out that does not mean I was speeding - just that he had to to catch up with me. After a few minutes I think the penny dropped. I did point out that there is a 30 limit in the road and the fact that he did 44 was more of a hazard than me avoiding the bump. Not much he could say really, so he just waggled his finger at me and drove off, hehehe. Next day I got pulled for allowing my front rh wheel to touch the paint on a mini roundabout when someone failed to stop and nearly rammed me. I got a full lecture and 20 mins of vehicle checks before they let me go. My daughter who was a constabubble from another force was in the car and said it was all b*ll*x and they were wrong, they should have pulled the other car for driving without due care and attention. I guess the word went out about my maths lesson, lol!!
  13. I thinl the other vehicle still has to be insured mate!!
  14. Good oh mate. I am sure we all know that and most support all their clubs. I enjoy all of the meets I go to!!
  15. I use Proxes now, fitted them a month ago, far better than the Avon ZV5 or 070s I have previously used.
  16. Looks nice and shiney mate, nice
  17. The tyre pressures on normally on a sticker inside the drivers door. Mine are 2.2 bar front and 2.1 bar rear.

    Hello !

Hello mate, oh yes I recognise yours - no rear spoiler!! Welcome to the SIDC from Paignton.
  19. I get 30 on a long run and around 8-12 if I want to smile
  20. They like to have their own club mate. There are 3-4 others in the area too. Some have long memories of politics! There is room for both. I go to both as well as two others - coz I can!!
  21. cannot make this till after the BMAD bike festival, busy on the committee, anyone coming down to help us out?
  22. I think you were a WR1, certainly the right colour. Were you trying? When you overtook me I thought here we go, but then I had to back off all the time. I sincerely hope that was not you accelerating flat out, if it was you need to get it sorted mate, lol, a mere WRX was keeping up at far less than full throttle. Looked a nice car though, looks mean with those dark wheels and lowered suspension.

    Hello and welcome from Paignton.
  24. My WRX Hawkeye only needs 95 RON unleaded, but for best results I use V Power, however STIs I think need 97 RON. On Newage it is written on inside of fuel filler flap! If in doubt V Power esp if an STI and if modded.
