About p3nners

  1. Had a fantastic track day at castle Combe the other day (22/07). So much fun these Scoobies! Very well organised and well worth the money as instructors are included in the price. Just thought I would recommend it on here if anyone is considering a track day. Ruined a set of Bridgestones (won't be using those again, going back to Toyo's) and pretty much cooked the brakes even with upgraded disc's, pads & fluid! These scoobies (new Blobeye owner) are quite heavy on the brakes I find. Also need to sort the body roll out too with some ARB's, drop links and maybe an anti lift kit. Hoping to do the Nordschleife again next Easter so best get saving! Has anyone done one of the track day's at Keevil near Trowbridge? A few of the guys at Combe really recommended it as it's around £100 a day with an open pit lane. Anyone here attended at all? Would you recommend? Really enjoying my first Scoob! Danny.
  2. Didn't see it happen but according to someone who was on the phone next to us the bloke didn't tighten up his wheel nuts between sessions. Piled into quarry and the rest is history. Car looked a mess back in the paddock.
  3. Top day! Popped to the stand but no one was there :-( oh well next time. Nice looking scoobs there ;-) That S2000 looked a mess!
  4. Thanks buddy. Yeah really getting to grips with it now and it is a joy to drive I take it you have a classic??
  5. I am going to come along to this one I think. Won't be there early so will park with the riff raff! Only had the Scoob for 3 weeks so will pop over to the stand and say hello
  6. Can anyone tell me why I can't post a pic (use the IMG extention) on this forum??? Thanks for the replies by the way
  7. We did the Haynes museum with my old club and they allowed us to use the sprint track (not sure if it is still there). We used some timing equipment which was supplied by the *cough* MLR and it turned out to be a great day. The track is only first/second gear but it's a good laugh and yes there were a few pranges. Just a thought
  8. Managed to do a link via mobile to a photo but for some reason I am not allowed to use IMG commands???

  11. Bristol matey. Yeah would be up for that. Regular at castle Combe and have just booked my first 'turbo' track day there in July too.
