WP is an Evo specialist. In Aberdeen area I know Brian Downie sometimes gets a guy up to do groups of Subaru maps - think the guy might be from Zen performance but nae 100% sure. Alot of folk, myself included, spent the time to drive to Andy Forest Performance near Edinburgh... you'd struggle to find anyone who maps Subaru's better I think... and ye get the enjoyment of the drive hame after that.

Welcome along and sorry it's not under happier circumstances - I guess it'd be inappropriate to ask for the customary introductory pics of your car. Google "subaru hatch engine failure" - the results are not a good read. The dealers unfortunately seem to try anything to not honour warranties in many of the cases - they're already trying this with their claims about petrol used and oil levels. Unless the car has a data logger fitted, I don't know how they can prove fuel type etc. However - I would think you might have a route via trading standards if you were not told it was an import when you bought it? Does the V5 document state it's an import? (note - i'm not sure it would, but some import owners can maybe tell you) Surely you've been driving around with void insurance because it's not declared as an import on your insurance? Many insurers won't touch an import. Sounds awful fishy to me - and I think I'd be raging and checking out legal avenues if I was you because I suspect you're about to hit a brick wall with the dealership. Note - Subaru/IM group are using the subaru forums to look for ways out of warranty claims - so watch you don't "incriminate" yourself by talking about the fuel you used or oil checks etc

Thanks, min! I went to see a GT-R too before making my mind up, cos I was getting into that kinda price bracket, but the Nissan just didn't do it for me. Yeah - there were some plus points to the GT-R... but I just wasn't "feelin it". The love of the burble burble is still too strong And I'll still be able to get the roof rack and surfboards on top of the cossie!

Well, I've gone for the biggest hatch mod possible... getting a new een! I've had my eye on a CS400 for a fair while now... well really since they first came oot - although there was one thing stopping me getting one (apart from the price obviously) - the colour. However - saw a red een a couple of weeks ago, fell in love with it, went to see it last week and have paid my deposit on the "Red Dragon"... the new best colour People will say I'm mintal getting the Cosworth and I could have done better mods myself for less - but I really wanted to own a Limited Edition STi - and when ye set yer heart on something ye set yer heart on it. I pick it up this week - CAN'T WAIT! You'll have to make do with a trade photo just now but will get some up soon Whoever buys my old hatch from the dealer will get a low mileage well loved car with a few extras that I won't be pinching for the Cossie - I hope she goes to a good hame.

Hmmmm and just noticed my comments that this honkin Pro-R post of a BRZ has also been wiped... all I said was that it looked "deformed" I think lol Really can't stand alot of these "stanzed" cars... doesn't suit a scoob at all. I prefer track or rally bred functional looks - nae "all good in the hood" low riderz. Maybe it's my FB that's canned cos it's both posts - but there were other posts that have vanished.

There's a photo of a frankly weird lookin Hawk been posted by SIDC on facebook just now. I commented something like... "if it wasn't so shiney it'd be a true shed, looks like it's melted". And my comments have been deleted - hopefully this isn't SIDC admin getting all precious over what is a mingin lookin american freak car lol. I ken abidee likes there scoobs, but surely SIDC members are allowed a bit of snobbery about the species Feel free to get tore in lol
