  1. Look at those rims!!
  2. Just noticed it's the same backdrop as WRXMANIA's picture
  3. Thanks for the input. A few cars i've been looking at and can all be found on PH. http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1324983.htm
  4. Thanks guys. If I was buying then I would get a RAC check on the car anyway. I realise that the can is 12/13 years old but it's just some have full red manifold and some have part and some have no red on the manifold. I realise that you need to check the feel of the car etc but I thought maybe that this was the tell tale signs of a "boy raced" car.
  5. As some of you may know, I'm on the look out for a Type R - standard or modified but in good condition. I've not viewed any yet as i'm not planning to buy until late Feb/March. I've seen a good few I like but I would like to ask your opinions. If the red paint is chipped or flaking on the manifold then is this a sign the car has been ragged and not looked after? Any help is welcomed... Steve
  6. Straight through my friend, straight through
  7. I work in the Scottish Government. I had a scooby and it raised a few eyebrows at security! - Probably didn't like my scoob when they are promoting "Greener Scotland"
  8. Get an early Blob, low mileage, fsh, 3-5k cheaper than hawks, money to mod, money to keep wife happy and % wise will hold its value better than the hawk because it's cheap just now and can't get too much cheaper in the long term tbh. Correct me if i'm wrong people!
  9. I saw her aiming for all the potholes too I've had a wave anyway. Soon to be another Type R in the burgh so you can look out for me
  10. If you have mudflaps it could be them. I had the noise if turning sharp or had fat people in the car I took the flaps off and problem solved.
  11. I've seen a woman drive a yellow sti around milton road in Edinburgh. Might be it.
  12. 2 good dealers near Edinburgh in the form of Nobles and Grieves. I've went with Greives as they knew my car and made it easier although it was further to travel. I had been to Nobles too and they were just as helpful. No longer are garages making their profits from car sales so more is focused on servicing and parts so they need a loyal customer group especially when it's a dedicated car like the Impreza is.
  13. Any updates, Rich? - Things in the pipeline?
  14. Maybe so but it saves taking a £400 hit in one go. I think tax should be able to be paid in DD form now
  15. As long as they keep off B roads
  16. Alot of insurance quotes are to do with postcode.
  17. Bell do imports which is a sister company of the admiral group.
  18. You've obviously not been looking on Scooby modding sites then!
  19. I'll come along. Need to find a Type R first
  20. Is it just me or is the word FACT losing it's meaning in here? Anyway, the guy is looking for information on 03-05 STi's so let give him some help!
  21. Hi mate, welcome to SIDC. I've just parted with MY03 STi with PPP and it's currently for sale at Ian Grieve Subaru where I bought it a year ago. Common things to go are the rear shocks which I had replaced under warranty which is a good reason to be buy from a dealer as you do get that extra peice of mind although the price is much higher than a private sale. I never had a problem in the year I owned the car. I'm sure someone will be along with some advice! Good luck with your search
  22. Looks great. Makes me miss mine and it's only been gone a week!
  23. I had that too but sounded more like the parcel shelf was loose but it was ice on the boot.
  24. That would be my bet. By the way you describe the noise it could be something hitting the wheel well as its hollow so the noise would be similar to the wooden spoon and pan
