Well my rear diff has decided that it doesn't like my new found power. I have a replacement coming but I would like to overhaul and uprate my original if possible. Any suggestion as to where? Chances of doing it myself?

You won't stall it just give it blips between 4 and 5k revs and drop the clutch. My starter motor is fixed. I just stripped it down and rebuilt it as alot of it was seized. The fuel cut issue only happens some times. have a few hoses to change and may require a slight tweek by Andy if that does not work

Like above whenever you buy a car a better one comes up. I wanted a low mileage standard RB5 and could not find one, I ended up bying a well looked after one with a few bits done and 86k on the clock. About 3 weeks later a standard RB5 with 25k on the clock turned up at the same price i had paid

I had my car mapped about 2 weeks ago by Mr F. It made 330/321 on a VF23 with FMIC, Apexi induction kit and Walbro fuel pump It has been going great and today when overtaking a granny im half way past and BANG car totally loses power like hitting the brakes pretty hard. Only seems to happen when im accelerating hard and the car hits 4000rpm. If i accelerate gradually past this rev range it does not fuel cut. It does not cut out just loses alot of power and then i let off put my foot down again and it did it again. I have a full tank of fuel What causes fuel cut? Any other tips as it could be pretty dangerous as im sure you would imagine when your half way past a car and you lose all power

Well all sorted now folks. Took it off and dissmantled it and several mechanical moving parts were partly seized. Now all unseized and good as new. To say im happy is an understatement

On the hunt today. I go away Thu and usually take my car up the road so would be handy to have it sorted by then. Worst thing is our other car is broken as well

My starter motor is playing silly beggers only working some times. Does anybody happen to have a MY99 starter motor lying about?

I could not see the point in a low boost map as i would never use it. I don't think it would have cost more to get a low boost map. The pops and bangs are sweet cost no extra all you had to do was ask.

Lewis did you just get the one map? You get some pops and bangs added in? I did and I get flames too

I already have a of set of rear disks and pads they are black diamond just have to fit them. You got standard 4 pots up front? May just be an idea to upgrade your fronts as the rears are only 10% of your braking force anyway. The link i put was an idea for you of the seller, I got an organic one rated to 350 lb/ft. Was about £200 i think. Im home till the 31st then away for 2 weeks min. Give me a shout if you want a flywheel it will need skimmed. The cat makes a fair difference to the noise indeed it may make it more bearable. I managed to make all the glass fall out of the side of the green house due to the noise of my car starting when i had the Blitz.

I fitted an Exedy one from these guys http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SUBARU-IMPREZA-TURBO...93%3A1|294%3A50 I was wary that it might not be the real thing but it seems to be handling the power no bother. you will also have to have your flywheel skimmed before fitting a new clutch. I actually have a spare you can get done if you wish? You should be glad you did not buy my Blitz it is stupid loud 115db+ I was embarrassed driving about with it. My HKS ti-tip is perfect. My rear brakes are screwed also. I have new disks and pads in the garage to go on though My car is staying in it's current state of tune for a while as iv decided to be sensible with my money for a while.

that is the standard recirc indeed. My car currently smells of melting plastic after driving due to a plastic bag melting itself onto the down pipe.

To be fair your right the torque was not a million miles away but as we know down the pub its BHP that counts Give me a shout about the turbo. All im thinking now is will my clutch take the BHP of a 20g? Suppose i will just have to fit my 6 speed box at the same time along with a 6 speed clutch and flywheel
