  1. Congrats mate it was indeed like a driving lesson I was giving it 10 to 2 with my hands and all that **** Get yourself a new turbo, you see the difference it did to mine and the best thing is all you need is the turbo as you have done pretty much the same as me so would make good figures. Infact you want to buy my turbo and il get a 20g and a set of 550's now instead of in a month when i get fed up? To the point now though I made more than you
  2. All you have to do is ask!!!!!!!!!
  3. The sooner it breaks the sooner i can make it better All these lardy newages need an extra 20% just to keep up. Andy has what i think is called Delta dash. He knows the weight of the car with a full tank and 2 passengers and the rolling circumference of the wheels so it can calculate the distance you have covered and how long it took so it calculates the power required to move the set weight that distance in that time. easy........ Andy said it is accurate to about 1 to 2 BHP and had been proved by various rolling roads I think it can only be done with ECUTEK but i may be wrong
  4. Almost enough to keep up with a newage Eh ask the guy in the GB270 if thats true I don't think il be bothering with TOTB i think I may struggle slightly. Good luck You still not fixed that diff I think you find I will just have to wait longer on you on the runs now Im giving this engine 6 months and it doesn't break it is getting a 20g slung on until it breaks. One way or another i will justify fitting a forged engine to my better half
  5. I visted Andy this morning. I was hoping for between 320-340bhp and similar torque Car 99 RB5 WR sport Mods were VF23, FMIC, Walbro fuel pump,3" de-cat HKS exhaust and Apexi induction kit Before mods and mapping 240BHP After 330BHP and 321lb/ft torque Many thanks to Mr F
  6. Superb figures!!! Got the VF23 fitted with no bother. Just have to fit my FPR and 3 port 2moro and im ready for friday its like Christmas but better
  7. Glad to hear you got it all mapped up. As above what mods have you done and what were your final figures? Iv got my mapping in 42 hours 36 minutes and i have still till to fit my turbo Thats this evenings job lets hope it goes smoothly
  8. Guy I work with is going believe you may have met him before black mid engined polo. He said he raced Andy last year. He now has about 500bhp at the rear wheels
  9. I ordered a set of brake pads from him on April 13th and they turned up on Monday 57 after ordering and the joke is when i ordered them I paid extra for next day delivery. Im still waiting on seals I ordered at the same time. I must have sent 10 e-mail and made 10 phone calls. He blamed it on the courier and contradicted himself several times. If he lived within 100 miles of me he would have had a visit luckily for him he lives way down south. Personally I will never use him again although other people have had no bother with him but it is bad to see im not alone in him pissing people about.
  10. I would say you should have movement in your disks/bell are you sure it is not the whole shock etc moving as I would say the disks having any movement is a worry
  11. woo hoo 2 weeks today. Home next thu and will have to fit my VF23, FMIC, walbro, Sard FPR and Apexi induction kit. whos going to be a busy boy then
  12. Wullie best bet is to try http://p1woc.co.uk/postnuke/index.php
  13. Good to hear you manged to get some more work Dunc. Im skint also but only due to finally buying a house. Sorry to hear about the engine Adam just an excuse to uprate it no point on doing any half measures is there
  14. My mate fitted his BC's straight as they came out of the box and they were too low and needed adjusting up. 5 full turns of the strut is 1 inch so i would give them at least 5 full turns before fitting. The spring rate comes set up so just leave it as it is for now. And 10 clicks from soft seems like a good damping rate on mine for every day driving. When i fitted mine i adjusted them down till the scrubbed on hard cornering and then would them up a couple of turns and it seems to be fine apart from speed bumps
  15. No having that iv seen it sorted in 3 hours in a garage. There was also a write up in Total impreza of them doing it on the car!! What happens if you buy a second hand box and the same thing happens again?
  16. Yes defo the nut on the end of your gearbox. You will probably need a new 5th gear cog so would get one of them just to be safe. The box does not have to come off just the prop and gearbox mounts and you can remove cenre diff and access the nut and 5th gear while it is on the car. But if you have not had a cluthc change in a while say 40k i would do it at the same time as it it is only a matter of maybe an hours extra labour if that. hope that helps
  17. Neither for me Eagle F1's all day although they are a fair bit more than you quoted. I had proxes on my previous car brilliant in the dry and a joke in the wet. The standard VR6 used to spin in the first 4 gears in the wet
  18. Brilliant top tip. I know where im going today then!!
  19. To be fair i have a mate who is ex AWD who did the clutch. Only cost me £65 plus the cost of the clutch and flywheel. I did guess you were unlikely to put a video of yourself getting beat i know i wouldn't!! Hope you get on ok with your mapping, I have mine on 17th of July hoping for 330-340 which im sure will shorten my clutch life some what
  20. LOL looked at that then thought i would have a look to see how much they are these days and look what i found http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/1060262.htm
  21. My car has 100k now is on it's 3rd clutch. Last one lasted 30k miles then i did 15 full bore launches at crail and it last another 4k after that before it started to slip.
  22. The key is to blip the throttle between about 5-6k revs and then let go of the clutch and away you go.
  23. Yip other horn is behind the grille offside
  24. I will take them off your hands give me a PM
  25. How much do you want?
