  1. Im away to head down the road now so all the best one and all for Christmas! Hopefully I'll see faces old and new in 2011! Cheers! :waving-santa:
  2. Yep, all true Glyn. It also depends on the reliability of the garage you use and on the integrity of the parts you/they supply... When mine lets go, and it will. I will be parking it up til I can afford a forged rebuild from a reputable engine builder using the best of parts. I look on it as an insurance policy I do not want to chance my luck on a second hand "reconned" engine.
  3. What was the reason for the engine swap? I have to say it looks like you have been had dude.
  4. I would definitely go with the blue background. Both look good but I agree on the point of the M on the blue one needing to be bigger...
  5. Take it back to them. As above, it depends on what they changed. If they just changed the block and kept the original heads, turbo etc. Then it should still make the same power.
  6. Jesus Christ, you've had more run ins with the fuzz than ive had hot dinners! I must just be lucky!
  7. And I've just figured out who mr vir cotto is, im not the sharpest these days. How's tricks George?
  8. V8?! I thought they were V6?
  9. Congrats Blair. I look forward to seeing what you have planned for the area. Dale - Thanks for all the time and effort you put into the role as RO and all the best of luck with what you've taken on in place of it!
  10. It was filmed up my way and someone local posted it on facebook for a laugh so here it is. Note the beautiful single track road at Glen Docherty that is no more...
  11. Mine is parked up in this weather. 8.5" wide, 35 profile tyres and AP 6pots with no abs scares the living brown stuff out of me!
  12. I've just found out what Dave does when he's not organising the highland fling...
  13. Your car looked like it was going well, what "light modding" have you done?
  14. cold dense air = more power!
  15. You're right, I would like to but im too mechanically sympathetic for 1/4's. Especially when it aint my 'box... It's bad enough knackering the brakes, but if i wreck the box too, there will be a not so jolly country cowboy after my blood! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Only kidding Russ, the brakes are fine but the suspension...
  16. Wuz...HELL NO!!
  17. I have 2 here but im in Aberdeen...
  18. I might be heading down for a nosey Jason, if you can put up with the lack of stereo and the PPG then you're welcome to join me.
  19. Scratch that, ive just realised that i on a stagger that weekend. Jesus, two events in my calendar for 2011 and they are on the same bloody weekend!
  20. I'll be having some of that action! Should be a little more interesting as hopefully the car will still be in one piece from the mods i'm in the middle of just now...
  21. I found the wee gems that are; The A86, Drumgask to Spean Bridge earlier this year and yesterday at the Solway Coast rally we had a great run from Thornhill to St John's of Dalry on the A702! Just a pity we were in the oil burner and not the scoob!
  22. I'd have told him to poke his cab up his ar$e! Jesus MM, just shows you get some real nuggets out there. Imagine the block getting hot, I wonder how on earth that could have happened - pleb!
  23. You pair quit yer boasting, i've two cars at the moment - one has a stereo that doesnt work (fiat so no surprises there) and the RA just doesnt have one, just a amassive gaping (double din) hole in the dash!
  24. Lucky there wasnt a have-a-go granny to hit the car bumper, setting off the airbag and giving you a knife in the coupon! Ive done heaps of daft things in my subarus. One of them was presuming the other guy wouldn run the amber light on the other side of the crossing...
  25. What injectors you after Colin? I will have some 440's for sale soon.
