Having looked through the paperwork for my scoob, I've found a small printout where the car has been on a four wheel rolling road which shows the speed reached on all four corners, I can't however find anything other than this to suggest it has been re-mapped before. Surely though, there is no other reason for the car to have been on a dyno unless it was to find out power output.

I've no problem with Sanspeed. I've let them work on a few of my other cars and never had a problem. A mate of mine who was at the recent bluewater meet (lots and lots of carbon on a classic with flip paint), recently spent about £15k with them

I was in sanspeed the other week chatting to the fella about plans for the scoob. I spoke to him about getting mine re-mapped and he said that if the car has not been mapped before then I will need to pay for the license, this knocks the bill up to around £600 - £700. If the car has been re-mapped in the past then I will not need the license and it'll only cost me around £300. What do you guys think of these prices?

Put your names on the list and details of how many panels and dents on each you need removing. This will give Matt an idea as to how long it will take and I can compile a timed programme so that you don't have to hang around all day. DENTS LARGER THAN A GOLF BALL CAN NOT BE REMOVED. If the list get's to big it will be first come first served, with a possible second date. 1. Baser999. 2. Pistonbroke 1 dent in drivers wing 3. dazzler scooby 2-3 dents focus ? dents zafira gsi 2-3 dents 4. Jolly Green Monster - 3 panels and 4 dents in total

What did he do to make it sound better?

Clutch Advise / Recommendations Please Guys....

Despite the name, they are renowned in the MR2 scene. They have a tuned Rev3 turbo that turned up at santa pod when mkivsupra.net hired the pod for the day. It was seriously quick, it destroyed a few high tuned Supras down the strip. I have it on one of my videos that I posted on this site a while back. -
thanks mate.

I've searched scoobypedia but couldn't find the answer to two probably quite stupid questions. 1) When browsing the net for toys for my car, I see them saying this part is for a STI 6 or STI 7 etc etc, all the way up to 10. I think its to basically do with the model variants but I'm never sure which one refers to mine. My car is a 2002 bugeye STI prodrive, what number does that make mine? 2) On the interior of my car, between the sun visors, there is a plastic hinged flap that I have no idea what its for. Could someone enlighten me? Thanks guys, and sorry for being a bit thick

Were the springs chopped?

Clutch Advise / Recommendations Please Guys....

I don't want to put a downer on this, but I thought you should know. I bought a genuine exedy clutch for my mr2 turbo (yes, I know its not the same car) and I had no end of grief with it. I only had it in there a week before I had it ripped out and replaced with a stock one, which once fitted had no problems at all. The exedy clutch release bearing would chatter badly when the car was idling in neutral. It was embarassing beyond belief while stationary at traffic lights. I phoned the place I bought it from, Rogue systems, who stated it was a characteristic of the clutch and was normal. -
I'm not even going to bother with my wifes A class. It looks like its been sitting at the end of a airgun range for a year

Cancel that, I take it its where they've filled in what used to be the water jacket to stop the bore moving under heavy boost.

What may I ask, is a closed deck block?

Saw a very clean red classic with dark lexus rear lights yesterday in Sidcup. Nice sounding exhaust too. I overtook you on my R6 and gave you an ok sign.

Count me in, my car is mint mint minty mint, (apart from a small dink in the drivers wing )

Having just done my ICE install. The obligatory niggly problems were being ironed out, one of them being that the amp was drawing more current than the paltry 30 amp inline fuse for the feed could take, so kept popping the fuse everytime you cranked the volume. So yesterday, I fitted a 60 amp inline fuse and thought "thats that sorted". Then, I crank the volume and 'pop', off goes the amp again. I thought there was no way it could pop a 60 amp fuse so I bust out the multimeter to check it. The fuse was showing 12v across it, so no problem there then. Then I check the feed at the amp end, and nothing. Oh great I thought, the wire is broken and burnt out somewhere along the route. So I start pulling bits of trim of from the rear moving forwards checking the wire as I go. I get to the route through the firewall and still no voltage on the wire. I move to under the bonnet and see what I've done. I've fitted the 60 amp which is all well and good, but half a foot behind that the 30 amp is still there!!! I forgot to take it out of the circuit so I popped the 30 amp again. Sometimes I shock myself with my own stupidity. !!

My mate steve, with the scoob in the pics (the one that looks like a carbon factory threw up on it), said that a few of the Subaru lot were asking where I was. Sorry guys, I'll be at the next one (with cakes) I promise.

My mate took some pics. Enjoy. Here is a mate of mine's newly modified monster

Not even inappropriate mate, inapproriate speed on a bike spells serious injury or death.

I did reply mate, but used this thread.

A lot of the lanes round Sevenoaks are national speed limit, I've hooned down them a few times on my R6, they are very twisty and huge elevation changes, you're lucky to get close to the posted speed limit most the time. Doesn't make them any less fun though

When JC was driving that awesome Black Series Merc, he's driving around London at 0400 in the morning and there's no one about. We should do something similar. I know its early, but its the only time the roads are really clear, I'm sure that once you're out on them open roads, you'll forget about how early it is Something similar to a tunnel run, but early o'clock. All the roads around places like Biggin Hill, Sevenoaks and Aylsford are brilliant, Imagine what it would be like if we had them all to ourselves

What a difference! you'll have to watch out for them kerbs now.
