  9. You see, I was thinking about that, but then I thought, you can have the pro-drive springs fitted from factory which makes the car still standard. In which case, you wouldn't tell your insurance company.

  12. If you can justify what you do to the guy when you catch him as 'reasonable', then crack on I would still stash the keys up somewhere. If they are not at hand, then the guy risks waking you up when rifling through things. Trust me, if he hears you wake up, he'll be off on his toes. The best deterrent is a dog, in my years spent doing front line work, I never once reported a burglary where there was a dog present. I have however seen burglars caught by dogs, dogs have no idea about 'reasonable force' and really do go to town on anyone who crosses them. I saw one guy with whole chunks missing from his arm and back in custody where a dog decided to have a chew. It was no doubt the best bit of punishment he's ever known. Thats why I have a big rottwieler cross patrolling my house.
  13. Shweeeeeet, nice one mate.
  14. You cheeky sod, I was praising your photoshopping skills earlier. You can put Gemma in the car if you want :)
  15. Sanspeed will drop my car from its current circus act stilt impressionist down to a more aggressive stance on Tein springs for £380 That includes full 4 wheel alignment and adjustment afterwards. Now where did I put that credit card....................
  16. I've heard that different bugeye variations have different bulbs. My car has the black bugeye lights if that makes any difference.
  17. I have been made aware of certain information that concerns all of us as Impreza drivers. A certain individual who I am not allowed to disclose has recently been released from the clink. He has an interest in stealing high performance sports cars in particular the impreza. I don't want to worry all of you unecessarily, however, I believe prevention is a better measure than the other outcome. His modus operandi is to 'pop' the lock of UPVC style front doors and steal the car keys from within. If the door is double locked, it makes it virtually impossible to force the door. It makes no difference if the occupier is out or not, he has the front to do it while you are sleeping. Therefore, I strongly suggest you double lock your front door before going to bed and everytime you leave the house. Do not leave your car keys on tables in the hallway as fishing techniques have also been adopted in the past where they simply hook the keys through the letter box. Like I said, I don't want to worry you, but I'd rather let you in on this, rather than read a thread in the stolen section having not told you. The toe rag operates throughout Kent.
  18. Thanks guys, I'll give it a go later and see how I get on. Also, what bulbs will I need?
  19. Got home this evening and noticed my passenger side headlamp bulb was out. When I got the car it wasn't working, but a firm tap on the lamp brought it back to life and I thought nothing more of it. Tonight though, it seems its well and truly dead. I opened the bonnet and took the screw cap off and to my frustration I can't get at the bulb because the cap it wedged in front of the battery. Thing is, I don't want to remove the battery just to replace the bulb, it took me weeks to get my h/unit setup with the correct settings so it sounded good, if I remove the battery, I have to do it all again. Is there a trick to it ? does the loom that passes through the screw cap and onto the bulb have a multi-plug nearby for me to remove it that way?
  20. All done, see editted first post for results

  22. All done, I'll be heading down bluewater later to get some pics. If anyone fancy's meeting for a little photoshoot session, I'll be in the middle level carpark where the old meet used to be
  23. Right, back on topic, I've clayed the car this afternoon and managed to get one coat of autoglym polish onto her, rain however has decided to halt proceedings for the time being. I have taken pictures of each stage so far, pre clay, post clay, then once I get the rest of the coats on I'll post the results. I intend to put 3 coats of autoglym polish on it, followed by a coat of meguiars gold class wax. Progress update wise, the paint os seriously smooth now, scoobyhoo, you'd be proud
  24. That's a work of art right there. Is that the wastegate coming off the small pipe in front of the turbo?
