  1. Lol, I remember seeing that down bluewater when the guy had just put the lump in, the bodywork was still all 'pickupy' and looked like nothing more than a knackered workhorse Then I saw it down the ace cafe meet in jan 07 when he kerbed the wheels when he parked it, I was standing next to it at the time going "oooooohh, you didn't want to do that". Seems like its come on leaps and bounds now though.
  2. Out of interest and slightly off topic, in the second pic in the background, is that the toyota pickup with the supra engine in?
  3. what was the front splitter made out of?
  4. LMFAO, thats made my day !!
  5. Awesome pics
  6. Cheers Paul, my car has a prodrive front bumper on which has massive ground clearance. I would agree if I has a front end like yours and needed to keep the nose raised but mine desperatly needs to be dropped, it needs to come down more than most just to stop it looking so lanky
  7. I like them avo springs too, but they don't do them for the STI. The tein ones say they won't lower the STI as much due to OE suspension setup . I'm just gonna bite the bullet and go for it.
  8. After seeing Scoobyhoo's car parked next to mine, I've taken his advice and gone out and purchased a Meguiars clay kit. It says on the box that its a quick process, however I'm pretty sure its not going to be. How long should I set aside to get this done? Should I start doing it this evening, or will I be out there until the early hours. I'll be doing some before and after pics to show people what kind of difference to expect. I thought my car was shiny until I saw scoobyhoo's one. I'm hoping for similar (if not better ) results on mine. UPDATE :- finally finished. been down to Bluewater to take some pics in the car park, found that my camera is a bit ****y but you get the impression anyway. First off, you can see the car here pre claying. As you can see, she was no minger to begin with this picture shows her with about 3 coats of recent wax over the past month. I was trying to get the desired look by just polishing and waxing, but to no avail. Then, after claying, you can see the difference with no wax or polish. then, after another wash, three coats of autoglym polish, followed by a coat of gold class meguiars. (these pics do not do it justice. She seems to be a much deeper blue now along with being considerably more reflective, happy days.
  9. Just seen the Tein pics on another thread, I'm going to get them me thinks Keep coming with the pics though. !
  10. Is this for real?!?!
  11. What size rims are they?
  12. After much deliberation, and chatting to a few of you lot in person the other day. I've decided that a set of lowering springs are needed for my car. I was set on getting a full tein superstreet coilover kit for it but two main reasons have made me change my mind. First reason is cost, the tein stuff will set me back £1000, the second reason is that the ride will be very very harsh, even on the softest setting, I initially thought that this would not bother me, but a trip out in the car a few times over the weekend made me think that an even firmer ride would do nothing but piss me off. I've also read that the tein kit is actually a bit of a budget setup and that the shocks aren't really very good quality. After a few years exposed to road grime and salt in winter, they corrode quite badly. Therefore, a spring kit is needed. I want the ride height dropped quite a bit, I want the top of the tyres to be mm's away from the arches . I've seen a few spring kits but most of them seem to only drop a few mm, and nowhere near the amount I'm after, could anyone recommend a spring that drops the car the most, or better still show me pictures of your slammed scooby to help me decide. Cheers guys
  13. I would say its the clutch mate, its not disengaging the gears so its getting stuck in gear. The fact that you have trouble getting it in gear without the car moving definitely points to the clutch being worn. Don't drive it unless you have to, the way it is currently, you'll be chewing your synchros up pretty bad until the clutch is replaced.
  14. Good effort mate. I'm rubbish with photoshop, I just don't have the patience. I'm more adept with adobe premier video editting
