  1. I was thinking of going down with the Lothians run so wont be in Lanark till later would I still be able to get a sticker?
  2. Be brave and go to a couple of meets, you will likely find details of one near you in the Events section Im a newbie myself and I promise they dont bite unless provoked Lots of nice folks, who are right into their cars, that are always more than happy to help
  3. Welcome on board mate, this lot will see you right P.S Type-r means something different here
  4. Its like putting Make-Up on a Pig. Id rather walk
  5. The flames and the fact you tend to pass by at 170 are a dead give away mate.
  6. Very nice mate, best shape, best colour, The intercooler looks much nicer Not exactly a sleeper though! Been going through the whole front mount v top mount debate for the last couple of months think Im going to uprate the top mount so the car looks standard
  7. Very nice mate, did you find out what the stuff on the back window was?
  8. I cant do anything right!
  9. Here is a link to a few pics my mate took. As you can see one Subaru in particular takes centre stage http://flickr.com/photos/colinallanphotogr...57606420896061/ Some Evo eater stickers for the back of that beast me thinks. One other Subaru to stand out was a seriously quick Silver Wagon. Pissed myself laughing when the two Evos coming out the hair pin behind him automatically pulled out to overtake only to be blown away down the straight.
  10. Not as nice as your centre caps, Fancy some of those!
  11. Cant say I agree mate. Ive posted a bunch of daft questions since I joined and have always found that people in the know have been more than happy to help me out. And as for the banter ive been ripped to bits so many times ive lost count, probably my own fault for starting. I dont need lots of conflicting answers, one good answer from the right person is enough
  12. Dont you bloody start too!
  13. Think my donuts in the asda car park tonight will have helped too!
  14. Sorry to hear that mate. Only met you the once at Crail but you seemed a genuinely nice fella. Took the time to show an obvious newbie round your amazing car then thrashed me down the strip My mates slag me off cause Im still always banging on about it. Seemingly Im in love with you? You made my day mate, reconsider
  15. It does seem like a piece of cake but then again so did the spark plugs! Not quite what to buy Solid or Wire droplinks and which width of anti roll bar? Also some modification is seemingly required due having alloy bottom arms Im told "its just a case of drilling them out to 10mm" Easy Peasy?
  16. How much did it cost?
  17. Dunno Johnny, my mate is a rampant homo an he loves my car and he works in a Hospital! Might just be a one off
  18. Think I should give up now! Cmon the polis!
  19. Honest guys Im not police bashing but its easy to blame someone else The police cant effect the outcome of a trial, what a lot of tosh. The Police choose to overlook traffic violations all the time admittedly not in fatal accidents. They also tend to be the only people allowed on the scene to collect evidence. What evidence is included is therefore down to their skill and integrity. Ned in a saxo, dead girl, case closed! A judge made a decision on the evidence presented to them in this case by the "expert" police crash investigators report. This report actually conflicted with two eye witness statements. But the jury was told crash investigator evidence was "crucial" in the judges summing up. So yes it was the police who convicted him. Then the Sheriff "punished" him
  20. Im always one of the first to jump on the anti police bandwagon when the threads come out about yet another member of the public being killed during a police pusuit/operation and subsequent lack of punishment for the officers involved. Especially at seeing their glee when my nephew with a whole two years driving experience was given 5 years for killing his girlfriend, when he lost control driving sober within the speed limit on a notorious corner on which there where frequent accidents. "He just happened to be the first person to hit the tree" in the words of one of the locals I'd personally prefer that the Police where using a car designed for the task. I cringe ever time I see our locals police officers trying to drive fast in those astras, They couldnt catch me in a 1.9Gti so what chance would they have if I was in my Andy Forrest mapped rocket. And what risks would they have to take to do it? We spend thousands of pounds training highly skilled drivers the give them 1.4 hatchbacks to chase criminals which none of us would even consider driving to the shops.
  21. [quote Roll on Crail he he
