well whats that a week? and i have now lost the HT Auto's splitter argh!!!!!! also had my liscence plate stolen by an enormous puddle on the way back from town lastnite. anyone have any splitters they fancy selling to fit a blob eye. cant believe the amount of money that has simply been torn off my car in a week or so!!

well after a long wait i finally got some bits n pieces painted for the car, namely winglets, flea bay splitter and vortex. spent a wet monday under the car getting soaked fitting the winglets, then attempted to fit the splitter. raging as i think it looks the dogs but its obviously a couple inches out as for the life of me i could not get it to fit correctly . i'd get one side and the other would be miles out. spent around 2 hours chasing my tail. in the end i tie wrapped it on as the were no mating faces i could stick a self taper. so looks like its the boring subtle HT autos one that'll get stuck on. (sorry welsho) anyhoo en route to work this morning inbetween dropping of the missus my vortex done a john darwin. when i parked in work the only clues of it previous exsistance were the remains of some 3m tape. gutted gave the guys in work something to laugh about so i thought i'd share it with u guys as i know deep inside we all like laughing at other folk f'ing up lol anyone know where i can get plastaflex, i think thats what its called. black adhesive stuff? also welsho were did you get ur vortex from and how did you secure yours? what a real carbon one and not carbon 'effect' crap

dont know the in's and out's but if you have the fine statement thing or offence form (wehatever its called) and it doesnt tie in with the points on your liscence then i would reckon you could chgallenge it and get it quashed. they will probably try to simply change the points but i would reckon you could force a failure to agree on the conviction due to your lack of trust in the inept officer whom obviiously didnt follow protocol. for the record if the police ever stop you and you are worried about your tints simply retract your windows as i understand it (maybe wrong) they cannot make you raise your windows. sounds stupid i know, but its the same when they try search your car if the boot locks seperate you dont need to open it. i will probably be shot down for theses statements lol but this is the way i understand it though anytime i've been stopped by the trafffics i have simply bent over and only ever mutter thank you or sorry lol. hope you get it sorted anyway mate

yeah i think ive seen it, these ones dont have the clips at the top so i dnt have to cut the slots. i was just more concerned about attaching the lower bit of the air dam to the bumper. so it will be bolts n captive nuts i need? cheers for the sharp reply

ok, finally got my HT Auto's winglets sprayed along with a few other bits. Was looking at fitting them tomorrow, with the idea of just using self tapers. however after looking at them they seems to have several big holes. so my question is, how do i fit these. is there a subaru fitting kit with clips or something for these holes? How have you guys fitted them, or did you all just do it right and buy an STI lol. Also fitted a vortex generator but i am petrified its going to fly off at any second lol. used 3m double sided tape by it seemed dead flimsy though i did cover every bit of it? how have you guys fitted yours. would some sort of silicone be a better bet, i am kinda leaning towards that way but dnt want to wreck the paint underneath if its ever got to come off?

i have been tempted to buy i turbo timer more than once, but have been told with the subarus you cant just leave the turbo timer running and lock the car n walk away???? the central locking doesnt work or something? i would've thought this would defeat the purpose of a timer?? oxbig1 can you engage the timer the jump out and lock ur motor while the engine turns over on the timer?
