  1. Agree with Colin that you need to find the cause of the initial failure or the replacement might go the same way no matter what route you choose
  2. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Indeed a very talented man Got a couple of pictures myself up at Knockhill, although this one is best Traffics were over at our stand nosing about when the Gobtstopper went out on track. So i asked the big one if there was any chance he could stick the speed gun on the Gobstopper for a laugh. Amazingly he obliged and toddled off to the boot of the Beemer. Nailed the Gobstopper at 139 coming under the bridge with Gordon Shedden driving. Good day out at the Hill once again
  3. Sorry to hear of your woes For me it would be a 2.5 short block Best in my opinion for cost against life expectancy of engine.
  4. Honostly dont think either would be a problem if i was that way inclined The officer Tissy is a member of the ESC and SIDC. Good programme but too Americany in production
  5. Nice result on the quick payout Dont think the insurance company could try and see if the car was repairable. They probably sent an assessor out and he took one 2 min look and just wrote "Fooked" and signed it Hope to see back in another scoob soon
  6. Pity no fat people will be able to pax in this car Hooray for skinny people Good effort there boss
  7. Fastest Scoob in Japan currently is a Classic As for the US, hhhhmmmmmmmmm maybe its because the average American would find a classic a bit too cosy As for the WRC, would not be suitable for Subaru to race one varient of the Impreza and sell another now would it Classics rule and just imagine Peter if you had put your current set up into an A or B series Impreza
  8. The ST2's are the best looking wheel for your car IMHO If only i did not need to buy 1000 envelopes, they would have been mine Sorry for any dillema causing
  9. I would not bother with them mate Your car would suit the ST2's just braw I will inform Paul that i can no longer take them
  10. Bang out of order Anyone else notice how many Guests are viewing this topic
  11. Hi there Thanks first of all for your clubs support so far At the outset of this grand plan to celebrate Colins association with Subaru it was the intention of this convoy to replicate the success of the RBRelay from John O'Groats to Lands End, which raised 17k for the RB Foundation. At the begining we had no idea how well Prodrive would respond and never in a million years did we think Prodrive's response would have been on the scale that it has. The original plan for the weekend had the main convoy driving from Lanark to Banbury via the M74, M6, M60, M62, M1, M25 and M40. This original route would have taken up the full Saturday, leaqving Lanark at 10am the convoy was estimated to arrive at Banbury at 8pm. This would have left the full Sunday to accomadate a mass meeting of Subaru owners at the Banbury facilty. In the light of Prodrives response we have amended the route to allow the convoy to get to Banbury for about 4pm and have the main tribute convoy travel between the 2 Prodrive sites on the Sunday. The revised route from Lanark to Prodrive on Sat the 30th of Aug is A70, M74, M6, M5 and M40. I humbly apologise to drivers, clubs and groups that were planning the weekend around the intial route. Hopefully the route change will not stop anyone from attending what is sure to be a fantastic tribute to a true Subaru legend Provisional format for the weekend ......................................... Saturday morning at 10am the cars will leave Lanark Market. M74 - M6 Refuel stop at Charnock Richards on the M6 M6 - M5 - M40 Final destination is Prodrive at Banbury, hopefully arriving at about 4pm ............................................................. Sunday morning, cars from all over Europe will converge on the Banbury facilty for 10am (Marshalls to be on site at 9am) Prodrive will open the SWRT workshops, open the Heritage centre, fire up some of Colins cars and have a BBQ on the go with the obligatory Bacon Butties. The main group will leave Banbury at 12 noon, hopefully led by N1WRC (this is subject to the car being taxed and MOT'ed), and join the M40 at Jct 11 westbound heading for Jct 15. Hopefully we can get the convoy from Point A to Point B in about an hour From 1pm until 5pm the group will be located at Prodrives Warwick test facility Only cars bearing the official sticker will be allowed access to the Test Facilty. A checkpoint will be setup both at the gates of the Warwick facility and where the convoy leaves the A4177 about 2 miles from the gates of the test facilty Prodrive are looking into to arranging some driver demo's and hopefully will be offering Pax rides with Prodrive test drivers on varying disciplines like the skid pan and the adverse handling track. Due to Insurance restrictions only Prodrive employees will be able to take Prodrive cars out on track. All the attendee's at Warwick are to be parked on the main runway of the airfield. Stickers will be made available for sale in the next 7 days ................................................................................ ................. 12. Nice one Boss Pretty sure if Colin had chosen that path then he would still have ended up World Champion and there would have been a damn good chance that Subaru would be still regarded as solid reliable farmer vehicles.
  13. Cracking result there Belated birthday greetings as well 555 Editions rule
  14. Ouch of the highest order Glad to hear you are undamaged
  15. Now thats Glasgow humour at its finest
  16. Congrats to all concerned
  17. I deliver to, or rather used to, a crazy old guy down in Newton Stewart, well Minnigaff but lets not split hairs here. He makes a living out of buying, selling and installing the Superchargers to Saxo's. GMC is the name of the place and gets a lot of stuff sent in from Denmark and ships a lot of spares to Turkey. Coulty's would probably meet your requirements as it is White and goes like fook and has all the right bits hanging off it. Pretty much bullet proof and going for a damn good price Welcome to the club
  18. Jimser was saying last night how well the Blick Beast goes around the "Test Track" Looking forward to seeing it go on the Highland run, such perfect roads for such a car
  19. Looking braw John and Seafar Some old nail you got there
  20. Sent Tony a copy of Campbell Roy's email address a couple of days ago That is the best route of contact for any enquiries
  21. I freely admit that i have traveled many a mile just to stroke Dale's beard. I was severly dissappointed that last time we met when i found out that he "brazilined" it off Best meet up was at the Milk Bar after track day at Knockhill. We all sat, we me anyway, staring at the finest Cherry Pie, loverly young fresh tottie with sweet loverly (pictures on the wall of) bonnie puppies.
  22. Stickers are ready to go Just need the final Paypal confirmation and we are good to go
