Sorry to peeps that did not recieve a PM. I went back through about 6 pages of posts when the idea was first mooted and PMed everyone i could find that had there facility activated. This is the PM is sent to all Thinking about organising a meet that all of Scotland can get involved in. The main item would be a central meeting point so that it is a fair distance for all to travel to. i.e Stirling or Perth. Time would be in the summer some time preferably. i.e July or August Please let me know your thoughts on this as it would be good to get all the Scoobies together Sorry if any one felt left out Grant

AS i said in the previous post. There is a lot of support for an informal meet in a central location and i thought since Andy mentioned it and there is a gfood possibility of it happening. So best to start early in the planning to get as many cars, old and new, there as possible. This is not any kind of replacement for a National SIDC held at Alford or Knockhill, it is merely an informal gathering of cars at one location. Some good suggestions so far on the format of the day ranging from a static meet with preprinted route maps for groups to go a run in the country then return to the main group area for a chat. Taking over a whole Scottish island ala Manx style. A weekend at a central trossachs campsite for beer and laughs. Good suggestions so far, keep them coming Grant

Yeha but they do it thier way and we do it ours. Only person that knows the route is me. Total mileage will be posted a week or so before but nothing else till morning of departure. A lot of time, prep and Imy's word proccessing skills go into this and there will be NO mass diverting from the route. The destination at the end is famed for the quality of the food on its high street. I will be picking up Sunday dinner there Grant

I sent a std PM to all Scottish members a couple of weeks back to try and guage reaction to a centrally located annual meet. 99% of you replied positively to the suggestion which i reckon is good enough to start the ball rolling. I have contacted 3 locations regarding using thier facilities to host this event. 1. Doune Motor Museum Carse of Cambus, Doune, Perthshire, FK16 6HD, Scotland A84 at Doune 2. Blair Drummond Safari Park and Adventure Park Blair Drummond by Stirling A84 3. MotorMania 76 Moss Road Tillicoultry Clackmannanshire FK13 6NS All 3 locations are centrally located in the Stirling area which is equidistant between Aberdeen and Dumfries. Format for the day is yet undecided, ideas for the day gratefully received, as is the final location or date Once the 3 locations get back to me i will post a poll asking what date would suit the majority of interested attendees. Once a date has been sorted a poll on the format of the day will be held and again we will go with the majority As i said any ideas for the format of the day and the date, must include a date when ANDYJDMSTI is in the country. i.e May15th til June 1oth and Aug15 til Sept 10th Your support is appreciated on this one and if we all get behind it i am sure it will be roaring success. << Traffic cop demo.................right lads make your cars legal!!!!! you just know they will be sharking Callum...................agree with everything you say bud What i think we should be concentrating on is an SBO (Scottish Big One) instead of NBO, JAPFEST etc lets get SCOTTISH SCOOBIES ON THE MAP PROPERLY. We have already made an excellent start with all the meets/ inter meets/ trackdays etc so lets get all forces together and make a joint effort to get a massive gathering together for the summer over a weekend or even a saturday and sunday with camping. We had an excellent turn out last year for the Loch Lomond trip that me, Squirrel and Imy sorted, why cant we do the same this year but on a bigger scale with a static venue but with also trips out on the road too on routes that are recce'd and route carded so that peeps can go out in groups when they want but end up at site for bbq/ chats/ camping and piss up. Just a thought!!!!!! Just make sure it is organised when i have time off will be home from May15th til June 1oth and Aug15 til Sept 10th >> Go on the Big Man. Done a bit of research into a SBO and it is looking good to go, waiting on Blair Drummond and Motormania to get back to me. I sent out a std PM to all members that had thier PM facility activated, asking if they would be intrested in attending a centrally located SBO. 99% of peeps who replied did so with great enthusiasm. Only 1% replied disfavourably, you know who you are Mr 1%, to the suggestion. I think there will be enough support there to pull this event off and the ball has started rolling. Grant
