  1. Nae worries mate..! For a moment there I questioned my own understanding of it all

Yeah by bro found that the front end turned in so nicely that the car felt more balaced with the rear end following nicely without the need to flick the diff to the rear to induce oversteer (reduce understeer). He insists it should of been a standard component on the RB320..

Have been considering removing my front strut brace recently to try soften the front slightly.. At least until I get a uprated rear ARB.. I reckon the front of the car is currently way too stiff (compared to the rear end) and when cornering the rear end wants to roll yet the front wants to stay flat putting excess pressure on the front outside wheel. Which normally is good for grip but too much and it's forcing the car wide and feels nasty and almost unpredictable... really happened after replacing worn front drop links.. After fitting uprated ones the car hasn't felt as stable in the bends.. Got solid drop links and strut braces front and rear, but should have got the rear ARB done first.. Live and learn..

I only put on the strut brace to my RB so i had somewhere to hang my magic tree air freshners - fcukin things stink and make me sneeze................. :D

  2. why keep it standard? So I can look like all the other Rb320's? Where's the fun in that

As said above the outside and interior will be staying standard -and those are the unique bits. The engine is the same as every other impreza out there so I want to make it look a bit better

And as long as it's all reversable I cant see an issue

I put a strut brace on my RB and i've added a few "cosmetics" as well but will keep the look as close to standard as possible. Mind you i like those massive glue on "Halford stylee look at me i'm a ****er cosworth spoilers"............... :o

  3. yep family owned from day one and totaly rebuilt in 97

as for all others going on about experience i have loads of it even tho i only passed over a year ago due to being banned for 10 strech but wether i press lightly or hard on the breaks they just bubble back so much that iam heading to wiltshire to get up grades at the nephews garage and some major enhancments

Any chance of you posting a few pics of your RS2000? I used to have a Mk1 Mexico which i loved but had to sell (apprentice mechanic at the time so no £££)!

  4. i certainly am Jen,order a set now,you really wont regret it. havent got the geo done yet, must get it sorted soon but hoping to get the alk fitted first, save getting the geo done twice.

i always seem to miss the meets with rb's at it B) hopefully catch up with you at the next one hoss!

Aye let's hope so - ye can hae a wee blast if you like :wizard:

  5. I used mine more or less every day for the first year i had it but i now have a second car for every day - a 1.8 Mondeo.............. B)

I use the RB once a week for work and at the weekends and i have to say it NEVER fails to put a smile on my face. :crying: Done 13k miles now and will be 2 years old end of March.

The ride is "firm" to say the least and the road holding is phenominal but i would have to say that on bumpy roads it gets very wearing with all the "tracking" of every line, ridge and pothole on the road. My wife says it's like being in an empty biscuit tin with a swarm of bumble bees! The stereo is for show only - i can never hear it over the engine / road noise. I had 4 new tyres fitted after 8,000 miles as the old ones were torn to bits on the outer edges. As the_ex_lepper says, when its empty (after about 220 miles) you fill it up again!!

Definately the most fun you can have with your clothes on :wizard:

  6. I really like these.. the extra RB320 stickers on the fog covers are a little different, not sure if I like or not, but the rest of the car looks brilliant. :)

    Cheers,

    Grant

I have the same stickers ready to put on mine and can't make up my mind whether i like them or not - suppose i can always take them off agin... :D

I put my window down and ask her to be careful and she says "dina worry aboot it loon, it's only an auld Fordie)!!!
