Has anyone driven down Riverview Road, Dyce between the Newmachar end roundabout and the turn off for Asda lately? It's impossible to avoid all the potholes and all the trucks in front of you are throwing up stones -why do we pay road tax?

We (Weatherford) had a guy on the chopper. 40 years old with 4 kids. I've been in this industry for over 20 years now and had my share of North Sea helicopter flights, some good and some bad but no matter what you are never prepared for things like this.

Correct - she has indeed done nothing, and does not deserve this kind of attention. I agree with that entirely.

The lady herself has no doubt suffered terribly in the few months before she died - physically and emotionally. Any of you on here who have kids - just imagine for a second how absolutely horrifying it would be if you knew that in a matter of weeks you'd never see them again, never make a decision on how they are brought up, have to entrust their care to others etc.

Sure, people die of cancer every day but I just don't see the point in making derogatory comments on her.

Definitely oil as all over the wiring above the pedals and gearbox oil level is at half checked it before KH and was full. Only gauge in the car is the boost and no signs of any others ever being fitted.

Hopefully get chance to look this weekend will post some pics of the findings as never hear of oil in the car.

There's usualy a small oil seal at the gearbox output spindle or in the cable itself. If that is gone then oil could migrate up the cable. Used to see this when i was a loon on Triumph TR7's.

Did you ever see the article a few years back when some guy in South Africa rigged up flame throwers to the undersides of his Beemer? When someone tried to Car Jack him he could push a switch on the floor beside the pedals and flames shot out the sides below the doors and fried the fcukers!! And guess what - it was totally legal - imagine trying that here

Right, firstly, I wouldn't wish it on anyone, thats not my beef, but I couldn't stand her before she got cancer, and I hated her more after, in my opinion, shes done NOTHING to raise awareness of cancer, because lets be honest about it, who has NOT been touched by cancer at some time in their lives???? some of us have been struck worse than others but its still affected us all.

Ive heard some say that "but shes just trying to make some money for her family" em no, thats crap, nothing like dying with dignity eh? and dragging your family though the media circus on such a personal subject... Just staggers belief... I really feel for her family, I really do, they have lost their mother and wife, and thats tragic, it really is, but it happens every day, but how many people get this kind of attention or sympathy?

if she really wanted to do something for her family, theres other things that she could have done for them, that didn't include broadcasting their pain... I think its just sick... I really hope that it was worth it, for all that extra pain...?

The media hated her, right up untill she got cancer, then suddenly they couldn't be nicer? really? how much did they make off the back of all of this anyways?

Ranch Hand

A successful rancher died and left everything to his devoted wife. She was a very good-looking woman and determined to keep the ranch, but knew very little about ranching, so she decided to place an ad in the newspaper for a ranch hand.

other a drunk.. She thought long and hard about it, and when no one else applied she decided to hire the gay guy, figuring it would be safer to have him around the house than the drunk.

Totally agree... roads around Dyce are shocking too. Knackered a perfectly good 19" Eagle F1 the other week, luckily there was no damage to the wheel. Makes you glad you are paying £400 a year in road tax for it doesn't it.

Wrecked a wheel and tyre on the Aberdeen Airport road last year. Took all the pics, filled in all the forms and waited..........and waited...........and waited then got told to **** off by the councils insurers - funny thing is it was the same insurance company that my car was insured through!! Had a right ding dong with them on the phone and cancelled my insurance, w****rs!!
