  1. Thanks for all of the feedback guys. Too many NO's for me to risk it i think, between that and the thought of all the numpties in Aberdeen with their arms full of Christmas shopping putting loverly big "dings" in the bodywork of my baby - i just couldn't handle it!! Wife's Cooper S is covered with dents - not sure how many are self inflicted though ;)

  2. After a year of running my RB i decided to sensible and buy a second car to run around in (wanted to keep the miles low on the RB) so i bought the ultimate "Rep Mobile", a Mondeo. It runs great, does almost 40 mpg and it BORES ME ****LESS!!!

When it take the Scoob out for a blast you would need to surgically remove the smile from my big fat face!!

The RB is my very first Scoob and i will NEVER sell it - probably will write it off though!!!!!

  3. Depends how bad it is really. My engine was covered in 'transit' grease which was a bit of a nightmare to get off. Firstly cover the alternator, MAF sensor and battery terminals with cling film. Then I used Gunk (I believe Megs Super Degreaser is just as good), let it soak in and agitate with a brush if needed then use a Pressure Washer on a moderate pressure. A lot of people will be against using a PW but in over 3 years I have had no problems. Soak up excess water with a towel then run engine to dry completely. I then used Swissvax Motor Shine to protect and seal the engine bay.

Jesus man, that is impressive - I can't get the outside of mine that clean!!

  4. Perhaps sitting to close to them? They get pissed about having some one up there rear end so put the rear fogger on to try and get you to back off?

Not saying you do sit too close mind :occasion14: Just a suggestion

To close? Nae me, last time it happened i just reached out and took the bulbs out!!

  5. Getting this sh*t done to your car is bad enough, but when the boys in blue don't even seem interested is just total sh*t in my opinion. I'll bet the would hve been fuc*in interested if you were 10 mph over the speed limit!

This i'm afaraid is why the general public don't even bother to report crimes any more. I had to report the theft of my mobile phone a while back and christ they wouldn't leave me alone about it - who, why, where.........I couldn't believe it?

Anyways mate, i attach a picture of my own "crime deterent", George the Rottie. He will come down for a meet with the perpetrators of this crime if they are ever found and can easily have "a wee word" with the bastar*s!!

All he will want in payment is a right good chew on their sorry, sad, drug dealin limbs!!

  7. Bad news travels fast!

That was my RB in town and county waiting to go to Kinghorn Autobody. Aqauplaned on the A90 between Bridge of Dee and Shell garage, ended up very nicely on the grass after killing a couple of trees. I'm okay, got a huge scare and a bashed elbow, and no-one else involved thank goodness. But ma puir wee car was not so lucky... :icon_butt:

Thank you all who posted for your concern, very much appreciated! (and thanks, Dale, for the call)

    Best wishes

    Diane

Good news, it was a mate of mine that spotted the car - hope you don't mind me posting it on here - just concerned for a fellow RB320 owner.
