  1. yes would have been me.... not easy to hide.... a snipers dream!!!
  2. His name is Remy 07900912192 My brother in law used him and he was very good he is a also a friend of my wifes.
  3. cheers dude thats what i thought, the tint dude wanted it out of the way to get the size then fit it on the inside. oh well if he cant get someone else who can cheers.
  4. i hate you for putting that link up. it could end up costing me a fortune......................mmmmmmmmmmm shiny!! love the carbon look
  5. yea thats the one sorry bad description. the one that sits on the top of the window. it looks like it is in 3 pieces i dont want to remove the edge pieces just the middle section that goes over the window to allow the guy access if possible.
  6. i have had a look at removing it (well just the middle section) and there are 2 plugs i got them out but its not wanting to budge and i am not going to force it. The reason is i am going to be getting my windows tinted on friday and the guy is not sure or keen to remove it but he needs it out of the way to get in before i have a proper go just wondering if anyone has done it.
  7. we had thought about flying in and hiring a couple of cars at the airport and blasting it around the track, still dont know yet may do. cheers for the feed back though fellas
  8. cheers chris dude for the feedback i am still trying to confirm numbers then will get in touch with nurburgringuk.com and RSR, i was tempted to take my own car and drive across but if we get more than 4 really there would be no room cheers fella
  9. I am just wondering if anyone has gone to the nurburgring and hired cars for the track. i have been doing a bit of digging and i can get clio cups on the first day for 750 euros and megane r26r for the next day for about 1000euros. for 10 laps and there is 4 of us planning to go so can have 2 drivers per car and 5 laps each with each extra lap being 90 euros. these prices incude fuel, lap tickets, insurance etc. the track insurance excess is 5k euros though so plan not to bin it i am just wondering if anyone has done it and was it worth it.
  10. that is correct as i have had 6 points and in july this year they will be 4 years old so can be taken off my licence but insurance companies ask for accidents in the past 3 year and convictions in previous 5 years. not fully sure why if they are off you licence after 4? excuse to charge more. I would always challenge a speeding ticket for the difference it costs as there is a rake of technicalities you can get the points taken off. i never and it turned out my first 3 could have been removed as letter had not been signed by cops. In scotland it is slightly harder to get them stopped and also depends what court you end up in and your budget. it does not matter if you were speeding or not it is what the police can prove. i am against speed cameras on motorways and think the 70mph limit is a joke in modern cars but am all for them around schools and towns as there is no excuse for speeding in and around the town.

  12. 50k for a scoob with only 395 bhp, well overpriced. may look ok but for near nissan gtr money not worth it.
  13. no the wr1 has ppp as standard so is not classed as a mod that is why a wr1 was cheaper to insure than a sti ppp also all wr1s come standard with a tracker. wr1 are worth the premium although i am biased
  14. i feel your pain a in 2006 i bought a new leon cupra r 225 (the only 2006 one) well chuffed....... i went on holiday to spain and was picking it up the day i got back as there were a few things that i spotted thet were not right (300 miles on the clock) there were 2 hankooks should have been pirellis there was a wee crack on the front splitter and i was having it superguarded. 2 weeks later come back from holiday went to get it. they were superguarding it there and then WTF they had 2 weeks to do it. the tyres were not back to pirellis and there was now a crack in the rear light. 320 miles on the clock now?? went fecking ballistic! as had already paid and as had changed numberplates over had to take the car away with the promise all would be sorted. decided to go to another seat dealer and let them look at the car. turned out car had been registered in 2005 in bristol then de-registered when garage went bust but so was 2nd hand. superguard had not been done right etc etc. got trading standards in and threw a round of hell into paisley anry shark. ended up speaking to arnold clarks son and told him he could stick it up his ar*e. eventually agreed to give me my civic type -r back and refund me all costs. but i had it for 10 days until plates were changes. well fook me its amazing how much tred you can wear down in such a short time and 152mph with under 400 miles on clock. i did my best to take it to an inch of its life. i even went through road works 3 times as they were putting new tar down to coat it in as much tar as possible. after i took the car in and swapped over to my old ctr the salesman told me that he had already sold it to someone else for the price that i had paid. dont trust them and dont take any of there lies ask for compo for your delay push for everything free services etc etc hope you get it sorted good luck fella
  15. there is a body shop next to hypertec and he comes highly reccomended i am going to get my rear bumper sprayed there after an argument with a trolley and water getting in and freezing....
  16. i had a drive of the MK2 RS last month and i initially liked it, it was a cold dry afternoon and i felt it pulled pretty well a bit of torque steer (not as much as i thought) the gearing is longer that a scoob and does pull well from the offset but 26k for a ford hard to swallow and when i went to think about it i took the wr1 for a run out to doune using the backroads and to be honest is not a patch on an impreza. after some more digging on the rs i found that there is a torque limiter in 1st and 2nd so you are not really getting the full bifta until you are running away. not worth the money in my opinion. rather the hawkeye spec c PCM are selling just not going to pay for it up front!
  17. no vpower in both shell garages in stirling better be some in when i get home!!! Tesco should have some 99ron though? fook!!!
  18. i had a ep3 civic type r and it was amazing loved it the way it is set up when you are at the limiter in one gear and change up you are on the vtec of the next one. i changed to a leon cupra r 225bhp (needed more doors cause of baby) and had some issues with it (the worst coming of a rounabout at speed and sliding about a bit when i came off. with the civic just point it and plant it and it would pull out and take off, with the leon the fecking esp kept killing the power as i was trying to pull of the slide and nearly went sideways into a lorry. never had it on after that. i did have other issues with the car (mainly arnold shark problems) so after 10 days got a ctr again for 18 months. I test drove a few scoobies rb5 (modified) a blob wrx, a blob sti, i also drove an evo 6. and was in the decision making process on what one to get a wr1 came up for sale 20 miles down the road. after 100 yards of getting in an sinking the boot i turned to the wife....i am having this one. 2 and a half years later i still have its the longest time i have ever kept a car. i had the civics from new and to be honest arter running it in properly, stayed in or around vtec for 40 odd thousand miles and NO problems. nothing i have had the wr1 and done 21k in it and so far no problems at all it is though more expensive to run when the civics come down a bit in value i am going to get one as a track toy. I have also driven the focus rs Mk 1 and Mk2, i thought the new one was pretty good. fast and fun but 27k for a ford?? what you can get for that money you could have a way better car. As for the astra vxr in a word Shi*e..... awful the blue one may look good but is rubbish in my opinion ( i have also driven the zafira vxr thats just not right. and the vectra vxr powerful but no good as too heavy for a front wheel car with that power) I dont want to drive the monaro vxr as if it drives even a little bit as good as it sounds.........i want that one.
  19. so the WAGs have something to do....... no not cleaning tsk tsk late night shopping to leave us in peace
  20. i get to the shell borstone in stirling and if i am lucky might make it to the shell at springkerse in stirling before a top up required. mind you i take the scenic route out by callender etc. before coming back
  21. i never thought that there would be any difference so never used the 99ron fuel in my civic type-r (reccomended 95) the wife put in optimax and never told me. i was in the car the next day and was thinking to myself fook me pulling alot better and alot more responsive came home and mentioned it she told my that she had put it in. needless to say i was sold. so i pretty sure no problem in using it. i have no choice now as the wr1 is 97ron minimun there was a test(i think it was 5th gear) optimax/vpower came out on top if i remember
  22. dude, i had the same problem yesterday!!! my vac line plug had come off and brought the fault light in. i put a temp vac plug on and took it to hypertech this afternoon and just needed a reset spot on! going to take out the t-piece and put on a straight through pipe on tomorrows task of the day
  23. i have an HKS SSQV on my wr1 love the sound higher pitched, i got mine on ebay. no problem at all to fit. 10min and that was with a bit of a pain in getting the old pipe off.
  24. i have hit the limiter a few times on the wr1, engine is designed for alot more so not a problem, never not up to temp though. i had a civic type r and it use to live on the rev limiter. that engine was deigned to run 16000rpm (abit different valve springs etc) and they limited it down to 8500rpm,
  25. the rig shift is not for the JW maclean is it near the triton platform, as when i left there was a rig shift going to happen around this time.
