Whatever happens it shouldn't slip, if it slips the temps increase dramatically. High temps are the destroyer of clutches. If you think it's not right then take it back and ask them to check it out, or you demonstrate the slipping to show the issue. Just don't keep slipping it!

Was your flywheel worn? No way it'll slip unless your flywheel was particularly bad. Does the fork have clearance?

Do you know the rear struts can be stripped and regreased to help the situation?

We have V power in Scotland Dave should probably add the info - Vpower/99 where we begin on Friday and also at Inverness. You'll probably need octane booster for the Saturday night fill up though. Then on Sunday you can get V power again when we return to civilisation I used to carry fuel but used booster last year without concern. At this rate you won't be allowed to go
